Well done Todd and the Club Execs for organising the event.

in the end, great turnout and a bloody great afternoon.

yes it started late but that was out of our control.

with 30 cars running, there was never a long lineup between runs - I got 11 runs in and left at 4pm.

looking forward to the photos, cheers

Thanks everyone for coming out, we ended up with about 26 people from memory, everyone had a blast from what I can tell, everyone was EXTREMELY well behaved, so thanks for that :D - there were only a few mishaps with the cars, not as many if it were a hot day, so i'm thankful it became cooler.

Thanks to the guys (and girls) from Bundy who made the trip, sorry I didn't get to talk to you more :( I hope you'll make the journey again for a skidpan or something (which is much closer to you in Gympie) hahaha

NICE JOB TODD!!!!! And from memory, I think you beat a couple RB25's yeh? hahahahahaha :)

I definitely want to do another day soon WHERE THE CAR DOESN'T BREAK :)

Cheers again guys :worship:

Thanks to you guys for organising this event. I had a ball, and it was my first time down the strip as well. It's a shame my clutch didn't enjoy the day as much as I did and I only ended up doing 4 runs, but I enjoyed every second :worship:

Spewin I didn't get into the 13's tho :) Missed it by 0.049!!

Can't wait for the next one! :)

yeah we had heaps of fun!!! i much prefered our time then when gates opened to public thats when it got crappy lol

best i could get 13.1 @ 114mph then clutch started giving away :worship:

Oh-yes I did, 33&34 varieties Ended up doin 14 runs lol 20 FTW,

Super special thanks to the treasurer-Anna who was a major part in the day going ahead with her tireless work taking payments for the day.

Another big thanks to QR for allowing us to use the track and all the marshals who ran it for us.

Everyone was extremely well behaved which is testament to the great bunch of members & guests we have acquired.

I love this club-I really do-you guys & gals all rock

Ha!! Due to brand new tyres and a new EBC, I did better my best time by 0.1sec down to a 13.5 but should have done a lot better.

Tim, to give you an idea of the potential in my car, my trap speed on the good run was 192.6kph!!! If I could get it off the line, it would be low 12's

Best: 13.529 ET @ 171.57 KPH (106.61 MPH)

Thanks fella's, but I hav already penned you both down for a 13.529+2=15.529 which all will see and that clearly shows that my 20 won baahahahaha

More seriously Dave, try to get some Slicks on you stock rims for the next Drag Day and do that car justice will you :P , by being able to sit a bit higher in the rev range and to let rip off the line I think will surprise you (maybe 11's) cause its sure got some stick once moving I'll lay testament to that :( .

Tim, that car rocks dude :domokun: , has given me a target 4 the next 1 by matchin your time ;)

BULLSHIT!

Sorry Noel my mistake...

You made me go searching for the time slip, but then i remembered i posted it in the drag pb's section...

Its been so long since doing it, it was actually 121mph...

But either way thats a fast trap for such a slow ET, which was my point...

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
