How many Km's do you'se guys get out of a full tank of petrol?

I get about 320-350 when I drive my car sensibly and dont drive lead footed

My car is fairly stock tho, appart from a cooler and 3 inch turbo back

Is this average, or whats going on here?

well my fuel sensor is weird! at the bottom half of the tank i get around 100km and the top half around 200-250km

mine used to do the same till i lost economy i used to got 200+ kms before the gauge started moving now its around the 125 mark

all up i can push 400 out of it fuel light comes on @ about 300ish i used to not get the fuel light even little past 350

very inaccurate way of checking fuel consumption guys cause if the gauge isn't reading correctly, you could still have 100km's left in the tank when the light comes on.

Fill up & zero your counter, fill up again when your light comes on then make note of your odometer & litres used and divide one into the other.

The past 3 fuel tank in the last week or so I've been getting about 450km out of the tank, and that is with hard hills driving included + boosting hard with each fill up! and when I fill up I still have something about 6-9L left. Using BP Ultimate, about 180rwkw untuned.

I installed new coil packs just before i filled up the other night, and i reset the counter. I havent measured the amount of k's from a full tank for a few years now, and i've added a few mods to the car since i last measured it. i'll be interested to see if i can get over 350km's.

I think my stock ecu is making the engine run R&R - i get this massive creep of power after 5500rpm (the car literally throws me back in my seat); through the midrange its somewhat weaker. Not nice!

Need to do some investigating... The time for a powerfc and tune may be here...

Hey crew,

I get roughtly 11-12L/100kms, and have even been in the 10s. Fuel per tank is about 500-550kms.

This is with 11psi, FMIC, Full exhaust, and a fairly heavy right foot when in the mood - frequently :P

I might be one of the lucky ones with my ECU by the sounds of things. Come to think of it, even with higher boost, I have never felt flatspot, or R&R, that is commonally mentioned.

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG is has not responded to my emails so far after purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
