And the alternative is? Colin Barnett? lulz.

There never seems to be a good alternative.

I dont know want barnets policy's are but they did mention on the news he is claiming to make large tax deductions, sounds better then Carpenter increasing teacher salaries and creating railways that will never effect me. Not to mention Carpenter in control will = big trouble for performance drivers.

Neither, I'll just cast another donkey vote... like what I have being doing ever since I started voting.

They really should make voting optional rather than compulsory.

Carpenter in control will = big trouble for performance drivers.

The other party is no different, in fact wasn't the opposition the 1st one to bring forward the idea for this ban (after that 180 crash)? However I read from the paper that they say their ban will be based on kw/weight ratio rather than straight all v8/turbo/supercharger.

Neither way, I'm only going to the election coz I don't want to get fined.

"Mr Cowper said the Liberal Party would push for the regulation change as part of their campaign for the upcoming State Election."

Hmmm...

Left of centre policies... Confiscation of personal property by the central government.. Draconian and unjustified law-making.... False, biased and totally unsubstantiated propaganda in order to instill fear into the hearts of the voting masses, labour (unionist) parties at both federal and state levels, not to mention the deputy PD is a ginger... Anybody sense the red mist descenting over our country???

Sounds like we are heading for this...

Be afraid be very afraid...

Better dead than red!

how much do u get fined if u dont go vote @_@

$20, in the last election, my mum was in New Castle & she was working all day so she cbf to go & couple of month later we got a $20 fine.

Funny thing is, she doesn't plan on going to this up coming one neither :P , shes got a full shift on Saturday @ the hospital; she rather get fined $20 then miss work where she's getting paid 1.5x than normal.

Oh god... I though Chairsniffer troy was bad enough...

And the alternative is? Colin Barnett? lulz.

Btw, can he ban (by that I mean put them on a strict probation) old people driving while he's at it... Today right in front of me an old lady went straight through a red light ( and I mean it was red, like had been red for a minute and other cars were stopped) and the guy going through the green light almost T-boned her if he had not have been quick on the brakes...

Btw, can he ban (by that I mean put them on a strict probation) old people driving while he's at it

i seriously doubt its going to happen because it affects them all(the old coots and the government) directly and it will then be seen as unfair and wrong. its because they are so experienced that they hit the accelertaor no the brakes.

Not if you already have the turbo registered in your name before the laws come in, that's the only way around it.

For those talking about donkey votes.. You do realise they go to whoever is in power at the time, right?

They really should make voting optional rather than compulsory.

It is - you don't enroll = you don't have to go vote.

Haven't been fined yet ..... Sure they've knocked on my door a couple of times and suggested i should enroll but meh ..... when there's a phucker worth voting for then i'll enrolll. Least i have a clear conscience that i didn't nominate any of the a55 wipes to get in.

That is all.

Alan isnt due for a re election until next year i believe, but because the liberals are in disarray he is calling for the election now. Thats is one dirty ....

Its not like those two are the only choices either so look outside the square if you care

labour for me. barnett wants to privatise the power utility (where i work) and then we can watch the power bill skyrocket more that its gunna be. im not going to vote for a party that cant decide what leader to have, and to vote for someone thats been in power a couple of weeks . suicide.

and to vote for someone thats been in power a couple of weeks.

Considering firstly he isn't even in power yet (ie: leader of the opposition), secondly, he has lead the WA libs before, he is no stranger tot he job, and thirdly, He's got years of experience in the parliment and understands the political system inside and out. Carpenter on the otherhand is a washed-up ex journo that leads a party that is essencially and utterly corrupt from the core.

John D'orazio:

In May 2006 D'Orazio was stripped of his portfolios after it was revealed that he had been driving for two months without a license after he had had a car accident in a ministerial vehicle. He had lost his licence after failing to pay several speeding fines. He was forced to resign from the Party as a result.

By August 2006, D'Orazio was caught up in a corruption investigation and had to front the Corruption and Crime Commission to explain phone calls between himself and Pasquale Minniti, who allegedly was using his influence with officers in the Western Australian Police force to have speeding fines dropped.

Brian Burke:

Brian 'Mr essencially corrupt ex-premier' Burke

Ljiljanna Ravlich:

When the Gallop Labour government was elected in 2001, she served as a parliamentary secretary until 2005, when she was appointed as Local Government Minister. Shortly afterwards she became the Minister for Education. Charged with the implementation of a controversial OBE (Outcomes Based Education) policy, she held a high-profile portfolio and received much media coverage before losing her ministerial position.

Hmm, a party with a leader that is about as robust as a bubble, a failed business man for a treasurer, a former minister of education that did everything in her power to impose upon the education system, a new means of grading students that proved vastly unpopular with both parents and teachers. At the point where OBE finally came into force, it was withdrawn under immense public pressure. We had an ex-minister for police that engadged in corrupt dealings with a disgraced ex-premier and also was shown to be a complete hypocrite by holding the police and justice porfolio whilst cruising the streets of Perth, in a tax payer funded vehicle, without a valid drivers license... That is just the tip of the iceburg... Give me Colin's Kimberley Canal anyday...

i agree that p platers should learn to drive properly before being put behind a high powered car. But more importantly, driving is a privelage and i believe its not just high powered cars that is the problem. I think p platers are not getting adequate training before being let onto the roads. And i dont mean that the tests are not harsh enough as they are. But maybe make a program compulsory that is run by the governemnt a step in the whole process of getting your licence prior to receiving it. Ensuring adequate training is more vital.

You can give anyone any car and they can hoon in it. Yes, high powered cars make it easier to hoon but if a person has been trained in most emergency situations they can drive anything within reason. I can say when i got my licence, i hadnt even encountered or talked about the many situations you can get into in everyday driving and maybe its more education that the public needs than just harsh laws.

Just my two cents.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
