Next Moto Concepts Track Day, Eastern Creek, 2nd October 2003.

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Here we go again.

I will speak to Dave Stone in the next few days to see how many spots he can give us @ $180 (approx) each but again I MUST get deposits off people or there is not going to be spots kept for them.

SO... I need to know expressions of interest soon and deposits ($50) MUST BE IN NO LATER THAN THE 19th of September. I will be in homebush on Sunday morning and at the SAU General Meeting (open to everybody, only members can have a say).

THIS IS NOT AND OFFICIAL SKYLINES AUSTRALIA EVENT.

You will need as usuall.

Full Face helmut

non-flamable Clothing. (Jeans and a cotton longsleve shirt)

Covered shoes.

Road worthy car (Basically just check for oil leaks and if it is regoed you will be fine)

$130 (balance of payment, this is easier if it is cash)

Full tank of fuel... you normally drive about 300kms in a full day at the creek... basing you fuel consumption on my average track consumption of 26L/100kms you can see that I have to head out and fill up between one of the sessions.

Tis a good idea to check all fluid levels and make sure you have at least half your front break pads left. Also advisable to bring a bottle of octaine booster with you.

Cheers,

Dan.

Yes Duncan - it would appear that not all of us have the same flexibility with our clients as others. lol

I've got my co-driver back as well.

I'll be in the middle of moving house that week so I think I'll need the time out!

Neil puts hand up,,,I want more,,,. Carlo and Doughboy me thinks if it's $180 it's gotta be a whole day.

Ah Bonkers will be nice to catch up with you again,,,Been a while buddy.

Neil.

Wow... nice to see team track day still has it!

Updated Above.

Carlo,

Tis a full day. (That goes for you two DoughBoy!)

Bonkers,

It will most likely be $180 for the car if your only driving in one session (eg only session B) and $20 for the extra driver. It will be $180 each if your both driving a session each (eg Session A and Session B).

So where is Silver and Dino (I think he is in Paris) and akira and Prank and shit the list goes on!

    • Sorry I didn’t explain myself properly, by free revving I meant if I just floor it, it gets to 7kish and will start to break up/not hit limiter properly, off boost I’ve driven the car until near on empty. I have a fuel pressure gauge mounted in the engine bay, holds fuel pressure consistently full tank or half tank even when revving, and no the pump sound doesn't change. all the fuel lines inside the tank are fairly new but will look into it, could that also be an issue with the lines outside the tank ?
    • Yeah maybe I got a bad batch that only lasted 6 years. Or conversely maybe I got a good batch that managed to last 6 years.    Either way I have sourced a set of OEM hub/bearing assemblies  so I keep hearing! Even from life long mechanics. Apparently this failure is unheard of…
    • I am trying to understand how that even happened to the hub... wtf
    • Hell, I'm sufficiently wary of the ZSS suspension arms, let alone something like a hub.
    • Got it back home and got started pulling the hub off and diagnose the issue. Axle was stuck after removing the 36mm nut so i used a 3 jaw puller to try and push it out and... eH5FXvJ8.mp4   spend the next few hours trying to remove the axle from the remaining hub as it was very much jammed in there when the spindle sheared off. resulting damage as below R53AIy6 - Imgur.mp4   Looks like the was already a stress fracturing in the spindle as can be seen with the darker cracked section My working theory is maybe when the pinion gear exploded last year the shock put through the hub was the initial crack. Then a few events later it finally let go. Just lucky it happened where it did and not 190km/h on the next sweeper or into the hairpin The bearing/hub assembly went in in 2019 and were non-genuine "ZSS" assemblies and no nails were harmed in the process. #BreakHubsNotNails
