Im gonna make a guess and say you're going to get 170-180 awkw once tuned :woot:

That sounds like a reasonable guess....knowing that this guys dyno always shows condervative figures means I would rather the car perform at its best than just show up ridiculous figures.

Once its all finished....would be great to compare other Stags with similar power outputs on the same Dyno.

Having given the car a hard run through the Old Pac Road on Thurs Nights cruise....I'm very impressed with its standard form so any extra performance is an absolute BONUS!!!!! :)

Yep you sure feel the weight under brakes....

Jetwreck any news on the cost of flares for the AXIS....You were sourcing an avenue for well priced parts for the NM35's any luck yet???

Mate....I tried but I got sick of chasing for answers.....best I can do is trade price.

Soooo, what kind of parts can you get? OE? Nismo? Other aftermarket gear?

On that, does anyone know who the company is that sell Nismo in Australia?

I have tried Nissan, but it would seem that Nissan JAP have sold the distributorship rights to another company.

Nissan would not tell me who.

.....still watching intently

That is unlike Nissan to not help you. :)

Actually, Ferntree Gully Nissan down here are normally very helpful - with the exception being parts pricing.

Any other dealerships have been next to useless.

Including one that stated that because it was a "Japanese car", they could only treat it like a they would if they were to work on a Falcodore and charge me $95/hr too "look it over" without diagnostics since all the error codes would "be in Japanese anyway".

Is that kind of service what you were referring to Andy? :D

Aren't we the baddies in Nissan's eye's? These terrible people who import cars (legally)... :D mind you, if I did not do this I would not be driving a Nissan.

My experiences have been good but I see there stupid press releases about trying to catch all us nasty people..

Couldn't agree more.

Perhaps if they released interesting cars over here, there would not be such a large number of imported Nissans.

Whilst I am not much of a fan of them, just think if they had brought in the R33! Almost as common as a blade of grass.

If it was not possible to import what I have, I would probably be driving around in a Caldina or a Legnum.

Nice cars but.... THANK GOD!

I would be driving a Liberty GT...

IMHO, if Nissan Australia would just get their act together and bring in cars that people want to drive instead of blaming the "low volume" importers for their inaction. My M35 set me back $16,000 compiled, What does Nissan Australia have to offer for that price? A Pulsar? And it boggles my mind how Nissan Australia could have ignored the Stagea when during the same period Legacy Wagon sold like hot cakes... anyways, end rant.

Bargain at anywhere from $16-25k.

Whilst I ask why they weren't imported as well, I have to remind myself that they would have cost $60-80k if Nissan had brought them in.

Do you think that they would have sold many Axis for $80,000?

.....maybe if they were re-badged as "Infinity", the naive Aussie public would have bought them as a luxury tourer.

Sorry to Hijack the thread NRVOUS.

Have you heard anymore about the ECU re-map?

Do you have a dyno readout yet with or without ECU mod?

Is the ECU re-map a Nistune re-map or something else (sorry if we have covered this, memory like a goldfish at times :P )?

The stock ECU will be completely remapped, the tuner is still sorting out fine details on a test ECU before he's prepared to start working on customers cars....like everyone else following this thread I'm keen to get this baby rockin....and I can assure you it will definitelty happen.

There will be no bullshit piggy back systems here.....This will be a complete remap of all parameteres to get the best out of the car on 98 OCTANE fuel

Once I'm given the thumbs up we will log before & after mods on the same day with same weather conditions so we can minimise & limit an variations.

Be paitent my boy and things will happen :/

Here's a sneak preview of a pre existing project prior to my purchase of the AXIS....(PROJECT BAVARIAN) M535I just swallowed a 1UZFE Quad Cam 4.0L V8 will be on the Road in the New Year

    • Hey Murray, hope all is good. I took your advice and put the filler first then the putty. Seems like a much better result but i noticed there are still pinholes. I even had pin holes when i initially put the putty on the body filler. Do you think it has something to do with my spreader being f*cked? I attached some images. This is the intially body filler i sanded. No putty yet  Applying putty. Final result after using wax and grease remover can see the pin holes. I just noticed as i look at the putty application it looks wavy not sure if it's supposed to be like that or because of the spreader.
    • Hey all just wanting some advice. I’ve just compression tested my RB25det and these are the following results  Cyl 1 - 135psi Cyl 2 - 135psi Cyl 3 - 120psi Cyl 4 - 140psi Cyl 5 - 130psi Cyl 6 - 125psi   do these numbers seem ok.  Thanks in advance

    • Rust repairs completed, doors back on! pretty much totally back together running now. All future repairs will be fiddly wiring getting everything back up to road condition.  hasn’t  taken that long considering the condition I got the sub. note my helpers keeping the back seat warm 😂
