Zoix, all your problems would be fairly straight forward fixes. You should give them a go your self first.

Only thing they probably wouldnt do is the speedo.... as it could be a million different things.

Fuel sender problems and window motors have been covered on here and SDU a number of times tho.

well atm i have been working 7 days a week, because all this shit coming in to australia for x-mas and we been exporting commodores to nz from here, also all the riveria bost to usa(****ing 1.2 million speed boats)

its been flat out and i have had a look, but really get do anything beacuse i also havent got a license. so its hard to get to that place in capalba to get parts(its like 2kms from my house).

so yeah rather pay someone to fix it then get home after a 18 hr shift have to be at work after 10 hr break and get hom to fix my car :(

I do believe SDU is Skylines down under.

Gavin was really nice when after all these props on here I took my car to him just for a service. Really impressed with his ability to tell you to go home and do it yourself. other guys would do it so more dollars go in their pockets.

and he was saying something about a nissan machine he has so it can read all the error codes that can come up in the car computer or something like that. anyone know more?

It's a Consult Machine.

Gavin is the only other person I know of, beside Nissan Australia that are LEGALLY allowed to have these machines. They are worth emormous amounts of money and they do their job perfectly. If something with your car isn't running right, he will hook this machine up to see whats going on.

My car is data streamed everytime I go down there.

Well, I have heard many good thing about Gavin Woods, from here and other random locations. His name always seems to crop up in a positive light. I hope this is all true as I shall drop my car in there tomorrow (hopefully) as it has shat the crank case seal big time and is spraying oil everywhere. They seemed good to talk to on the phone so he is off to a good start!!

Wow, $100-150 isnt too bad, I know my dads commo normally is about that, and thats taking it to a pretty good mechanic up in brisbane (just normal cars tho) I think it will be worth taking my 1/2 skyline down to see him then :D

He's built many skylines for Skyline Import at Loganlea. The guys names Ernie. Gavin has buit him many cars actually. Including a GTS-t with all GTR parts (IIRC) including all guards and stuff. Also a stagea. And every other car that Ernie has built for Zoom magazine, Gavin has done.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
