haha, too right nisskid.

most cops out there only know a few things like bov, fmic, rims, tires, etc.. they shouldnt be put in charge,

some of our cars are more roadworthy then the police cars around..

but ohwel, everyone needs to put the food on the table at the end of the day, they make their money by pissing some poeple off, we make ours by working our arses of in the sun.

Yes Mitch :P ....

I know for a fact that the police rims are not actually structurally sound, do i hear cracking on welds?

DEFECT!!

Edit: Did i mention me and Mitch saw a police officer on the phone whilst driving a police car on cross roads the other day, UNFAIR MUCH!

*insert big picture of thumb up here*

police are constantly breaking the law, yet the general public has this attitude that "owell, they are only human".

so the f**k are we, but i rarely see that kind of leeway as a import driver on the road, one step wrong, one defect wrong and we are walking like a cowboy for a few weeks.

ohh, you had the privelage to see a cop on the phone whilst driving?..

ive seen many eating, and drinking (n/alco) whilst driving..

i dont bother reporting it because youll get your ass done in for trying..

but im tempted to get out the camera, just for funny photos.

Yeah i did, i stared at him, and he pretty much immediately put down the phone and started to stare at myself and mitch in a stock ford xr8 like we had done something wrong.

FACE PALM!!

yep ,

then he got behind me and i changed lanes , proceeded to turn right at the intersection then i was looking at the passenger cop and he was staring at me , then i remembered he was the one that said i was caught driving like a dickhead on the 20th of February but he couldn't ping me for anything at the time.

and fyi , my cars been off the road since about the 4th of February (Y)

wonder if you could get away with the "monkey see , monkey do" theory

nothing google cant tell you.!

search hard enough and youll find out.

who thinks we need another 'regency' down south to save traveling? and also up north?

There are already 2 inspection stations down South. (not sure about up North)

One's in Willunga bus depo and another is in Lonsdale, near the RSPCA. There's a sign off Lonsdale Highway pointing to it.

and those cheap plastic caps that go on studs can fall off while driving lol... defect...

i drove a fleet commo with those wheels today... didnt hear any cracks but they look pretty fragile

    • I was 99% sure the standard one is long enough to get there, you might just have to change the throttle orientation. If not, I remember someone having used an r31 cable instead, but that is probably harder to find than r33 by now...
    • HELP   Hey all, Is there an accelerator cable from another Nissan that can be used on the R33 GTST RB25DET with a Greddy forward facing plenum?  Thanks in advance  Rob
    • Or do we think it was installed to give 1 bar of boost max, all day, everyday?
    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
