lips for the type m bars or standard gts bars are rare as f**k

i recently saw someone post a pic of their gts with one and someone asked to buy it off him and the idiot sold it, it didnt look that great anyway

the only lips that are in "mass" production are to suit GTR bars anyway

if your really desperate go and see topstage and see if he'll make you up a custom one

yeh i think getting one custom made is the only way to go at the moment...there was a thread up on SAU a while ago about someone in the process for making lips for 32, 33 and 34 but now i can't find it...cause i really would like to know how thats going...i'd want the lip to be like unpainted plastic style like how it is for the gtr bars

I've got the same front bar as you, and was looking for a front lip too. I ended up getting the standard auto drop down lip and customizing it slightly so it could be mounted like a normal lip.

This is what I came up with after fitting and painting it up

If you want something that wraps around the bar from wheel arch to wheel arch, then there is this one available on Yahoo, starting at ~$90 (shipping would be nice and cheap too, as it's 2 piece)

looks better now in gloss black than it used to in gunmetal

Series 2 Front lip for r32.

Always wanted one, it will cost a touch over $400 delivered for a fibreglass lip...One kerb and there goes the lip :(

If only a fibreglass shop made copies of them and sold for $200~

the first one is a fibreglass lips (or maybe even plastic who knows) the 2nd one is a gtr lip probably just cable tied on lol

Gtr Lip is alot wider then the stock front bar, it would have to be cut in half and re fibre glassed to fit. its about and inch and a half to wide on each side.

I was playing around this arvo with the GTR lip would requre alot of work to fit on the stock bar.

well that is definately a gtr lip in the drifting pic, you can see its the unpainted plastic

I agree the lip is genuine but it may have been cut shorter and plastic welded back together and painted in matte black. People have done this with whole gtr front bars to make them fit a gtst.

    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
    • Well the articals keep saying a Q50s (Skyline in Japan) with a new Manual gearbox. I like the talk about the new looks with the round tail lights. I hope they bring back the retro look like they did with the Z
