Oil Pressure

hey guys, this JUST happenned today when i was driving back home from work. the car felt really heavy, ruff, when in gear. also noticed that the oil pressure bar was just one bar away from 8kg/cm3. i never really take not of the oil pressure, but i do know that the ideal 4kg/cm3. is that correct. is this a potential problem? any ideas whats goin on?

Not sure, but I'd say a big end is on the way out, you have an oil blockage, probably at the big end journals, your motor is in dire need of a rebuild. If you keep driving it you will kill it big time.

But I'd get a second opinion, bl##dy hard to diagnose over the web........

Was it when you first started the car up or a fair amount of time into the drive?

shit. this does not sound like good news. it was when i first started the car after work yesterday. where do you normally take your car to get things checked out?

If it was cold and when you first started it up, c'mon, oil pressure will go to 8 and your car will be a bit rough until it warms up. If its happening when its warm, thats a different story.

thats what i thought at first.. but the oil pressure keeps going up to the marking below 8 even when the engine has been running for a while. goin to xspeed on friday to get it chkd out..

quick question my r33 only runs 2 on the factory dash and has for a year? possibly a faulty sender?

any help would be greatly appreciated
