Recently i had a oil filter relocation kit fitted to my 32GTR and new oil etc... and now im noticing that the oil pressure is dropping down between 0 and 2 on the pressure gauge but while warming up it sits on 3 to 4 on the gauge but after i finished driving and open the oil cap there is plenty of oil in the head, i was wondering if its dropping because of the extra travel the oil has to make thru the oil lines from the old filter location to the new location

I have an oil relocation kit on my R32 GTR also and my oil pressure gauge runs similar to yours. As others will tell you tho the factory gauge isnt always 100% accurate..

location of the sender and length of the pipes should make no difference - pressure is the same everywhere in the system.

so...either your sender is farked (I hope) or you have real problems. get a mechanic to check it out in case

yes the oil pressure should vary. It is normally 2-3 times higher when cold, and since the oil pump is on the crank, when revs increase so does pressure. the actual level depends on your oil, clearances in the motor etc.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
