Under heavy load my r32 gtr ass end is unstable! Around corners its noticable, anything above 5 in a straight line the back sways unsafely. not lsd issue, feels asif diff is sliding around in solid diff setup. ive had a look underneath and all suspension 'seems' sound.

only conclusion i can see would be the kframe bushes, soft though look sound.

i have also been quoted 250 for "pinecones" for the rear k-frame, apprently hard to find but seems like a bandaid solution.

aluminum 'cups' that slip over and under the bushes to hold them SOLID.

Anyone willing to get me tips n pointers? come across this issue >_< help would be great

You mean pineapples ;-) I assume the 250 includes installation... not hard to find at all. I got them in neoprene as i didnt want the NVH of solid mounts.

If you're hicas is stuffed like bubbas the pineapples wont make any difference.

Still got HICAS?

That's pretty much how my 32 felt with rooted HICAS (wheels basically flopping around heh)

still had HICAS, how do i fix the hicas?

just did a clutch on it, a line that goes into the rear of the box was drained, think its the ps fluid?!

anyways it has a nipple, having trouble bleeding it... apparently run the car bleed but no fluid comes out ...

how do i fix the hicas, is it the rack? or links worn?

That line to the back of the gearbox is just a breather.

Could be many thing causing the HICAS to die (low ps fluid, bung sensors etc), removing it was one of the best things I ever did.. $80 for a lockbar and about an hour of work.

  • 2 weeks later...

its unlikely to be the hicas rack itself, but the inner and outer tie rods for hicas, and the ball joint at the hub alll wear.

drop by your local pedders for their safety check, get the report and run out of the place. Then get somewhere good to do the work
