Running Hot??

Hi all,

Just wondering how hot u guys have had ur cars?? i recently went to a track day and still only got the temp guage up to half way for the first time ever, generally it sits just below half way. Though today on a very hard drive round glorious today and we decided to go back the otherway, coming up the mountain my car began to get very hot and the temp guage rose to just before 3/4's. Could i have damaged something? has neone else got there car this hot before?

just check the coolant, after 3 track days ive still never had it over half. so generally the cooling is great on the engine, if u had the A/C on that can cause ur car to overheat abit more, and just the day itself. Check all the fluids man, but it should be fine i reckon

yah just check your cooling...as from what i rememeber N/A cars run abit cooler compaired to the turbo ones. But it shouldnt of gotton 3/4 on the gauge it should be at most at the dead middle i think.

Another possibility would be the engine is running lean...

My two cents -- just get your radiator flushed no matter what because I had myn done just a few days after I put my new motor in my R32 GTS an it made it run like 2-3mm lower/cooler on the factory gauge.
