did any1 else on here enjoy the police blitz thru caboolture as much as i did.

i saw 1 highway patrol and 2 unmarked police cars north bound, south of caboolture, and 3 normal

cars south bound 2 the north of caboolture, all with their speed guns out, spaced about 1 klm apart.

also saw about 4 driving around in caboolture pulling random ppl over.

i thought it was good because they were all occupied when i drove by them. yay.

still haven't been pulled over. (touch wood) ;):)

When it comes to police the only thing it is illegal for them to do is causing physical harm to another being in a case other then self defense. When it comes to traffic laws they are allowed to do anything that they feel is fit to do. In a instance of them being a mere k apart it would be considered smart thinking on there behalf, because a lot of us all think when we pass one car we are not likely to run into another for a while, you would be surprised how many people do get pulled over for this kind of thinking.

Little bit of a different situation but... Isn't there some law about them being set up too close to a fixed camera though?

Because aren't a lot of those fixed cameras only there due to that location is a hot spot and too dangerous for a police vehicle to be parked?

I might be totally wrong tho :nyaanyaa: lol

No infact as stated they are able to set up like that purley becuase people slow down for camera then speed up again, i don't like it but they can do it.

The best one i ever saw was on the way to work one day 1 car in the truck inspection station on ramp at burbengary then a k up the road another car in the emergency stopping area and then another 2 k later a camera

duuno what the big thing is here. I'm driving various skyline cars with no front plates( I have a trade plate.) on them right past these guys and they do not flinch

I dont think anyone mentioned anything in regards to number plates...?

Sure puts a stop to "roll on drags as soon as we pass the speed camera" though...lol

sounds like the 'boys in blue' are gearing up for Xmas. they used the same tatic on the M1 on Tue this week. also saw my first ute being used as an unmarked traffic law enforcer on Wed, near Coomera. description: white, holden, '07-'08?, after market wheels and slightly lowered from what I could see. clearly a "sucker car" hoping to activate the adrenal glands of would-be racers!!!.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
