ok iv had my R32 GTR for 3 weeks now and bought a E11 V2 haltech, front pipe for it.

the mods for the car stand at

haltech ecu

s/s front pipe,3" all the way with one big resonator and a jap spec muffler at the back9system is not perfect by any margine and still runs the compliance cat

apexi suction kit(still runs the air flow metres(disconected)

cooper plugs

exedy h/d clutch

profect b boost controler running 14psi

the car also runs 20"x10" wide which i was told isnt to power friendly.

this is about it,the car made 293.4 HP

the machanic who is justin at CTP qld said the motor probably isnt standand as they dont make that power.

i cant thank justin enough for the work he did and will be using him again....thanks mate

Considering 60 degree intake temp (adding a nice correction, read - higher number) and 218rwkw.. its certainly not the highest result for 14psi we've seen, more towards the lower end if anything.

People have made 240-250rwkw on 1bar (14.5psi) easily enough time over.

As for the motor being modified - i highly doubt it. To make an assumption like that really isnt the best as there is no indication from a result thats a bit low

Im not saying its a bad result, however its nothing overtly better than anyone else.

You need to change the cat, and get a set of cam gear's on there... then see how it goes. Should be up closer to 240rwkw like everyone else with a nicer midrange

well this is a nice way to burst my bubble....

yeah its i big deal to me as this is my first GTR as i come from rotary and v8 side of the car scene.i use to own one of australias fastest drag rotor and didnt epect much from the dated datto.

iv got HKS step 2 cams and gears and full fuel system to go in as well as a to4z.but wanted to know what it would do before the mods.this is my day to day car so i didnt think id star with a hell of a lot.

scotty

Not really bursting the bubble - the dyno results thread would confirm what most are saying here.

T04Z on a stock motor?

I'll say a prayer for you tonight mate when i talk to my blown engines in RB heaven ;)

I made 230awk with PFC, pods, front pipe + 3" ex, very little cam gear adjustment. @ 0.9bar (13psi)

tuner tells me he had a run of 275awk when boost didnt hold and spiked at 1.4bar (20psi) which is where he lost the AFR's readings. As we are not sure on the ex turbines on my car I keep it at the tune he dialed in.

get ready to empty your wallet as it doesnt take long to get used to that kind of power and when I get a spike those extra kiler wasps give me a woody and now I'm chasing 400awkw.... but I think i'll do a rebuild first :P

cheers

Yeah you're gonna get used to that power real quick as the chassis is just begging for more. As far as cats go, you could look at a ceramic one from CES, got one on mine but it's 350 bucks- trevor does a nice job with the taper pipework which keeps the boundary layer from separating from the walls and keeps the gas going through all the core. Pulled my magic cat with the shallow tapers off my previous ride and the whole centre had detached from the sides and was knocking around. Of course if you're heading CES way you'll want to check out his race dumps and front pipe which from experience bring boost on about 500rpm earlier and give a nice little extra push on the back. But a little hard on the wallet....

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
