R33 Abs Light

Hi,

Have searched through the forums and found many similar but not exact problems.

Car is R33 S2 and last few days the ABS light either remains on after starting or comes on short time after driving. Sometimes it will not come on at all so it seems to be somewhat intermittent.

Any suggestions?

I've noticed there are what look to be 2 30a fuses in the box under the bonnet but don't know where I can buy these (not standard lookin fuses) or how to test.

Any other suggestions as to what this is likely to be?

yeah i get that too dude. When u hold the brake and start the car, it doesnt come on, then when u let go of the brake - wait for like 5 seconds, it comes on.

havent fixed mine yet - but this happened after i got the car srviced and after i had ebc reds put on it for driver training day ...... so dont know what the workshop did.....

Yep your spot on in terms of light not coming on if brake is held in.

I have a question where someone can correct me or back me up, doesnt the ABS light come on when the airbag is disconnected??? If u have a aftermarket steering wheel u might be getting that light if it wasnt installed right.

nope. stock steering wheel.

No changes in terms of mods to the car that caused this as far as i know.

Someone mentioned this in the DIY/Maint area, something to do with the ABS relay being faulty....replace that and all is fixed
