Heres a quick question for you car audio wizards, what type of wood should i use to make a false floor in my 33, to put a sub into, trying to do my own custom install but not sure on what wood to use....been told some MDF??

hey,

mdf will be fine my whole custom boot is made from mostly mdf (heaps of different thicknesses) and some fibreglass

but yeah mdf will be fine just be sure to put some foam block or similar underit or it will vibrate against the car heaps..

What is the foam block, and what do u mean under it, as in stuck to the bottom on the mdf?

where can i get it?

also what type of thickness of mdf should i go for?

do you want to know what thickness MDF to use for the false floor or the sub box? or is the false floor going to be part of the sub box?
