$99 from ottomoto, pineapples they're called. When's your next run down wsid? Practice is always going to help, so ditch the spare, get the el cheapo bushes done and keep working on your launch and nailing perfect shifts, ever checked where your car stops making usable power? Shift around 500rpm after that so your in the power range in the next gear

that is why i do not run my cars down the strip, against another car, on the track against a clock or put them on the dyno for a power reading... the only guage i use for the performance of my cars is the smile i get.. thats all that matters... times and figures mean nothing.. and when you get less than you were expecting you get disapointed...

no expectations, no disapointments.

cheers

lol.. never thought you could be a failure without trying but... there you go..

hi it was my first time down at wsid as well and the best time i ran on wednesday night was a 14.1 and the last time my car was dynoed it put out 237kw at the wheels i also could not stop the wheel spin but i had fun doing it

did u run the other night in the 32? i was in the red 33. only managed a 13.7, the weather was so friggn hot. currently runs approx 220rwkw, 10psi boost. my main problem is maxed out injectors therefore cant turn boost over 14psi (power comes on very early) and is running on a jap tune. will be coming out again in a coupla weeks on street tires and maybe a little more boost :) rekon octane boost will help if i turned up the power seeing how jap tunes are to 100+ octane fuel?

Why don't you guys run drag radials? It'll improve your times and year the more you prac the better you'll get... It's all about the launch and perfect shifts, if you got a short shifter it'll improve your shifts and can make some difference

yer that was me in the r32 i think i spoke to you a couple of times it was hot but it was great fun i will do it again but not for a while as i have to up grade my brakes and put in a oil cooler in before the powercruise at eastern creek and i dont know if my gearbox will last for much longer it did not sound to good changing in to 5th gear on one of the runs

lol.. never thought you could be a failure without trying but... there you go..

are you saying im a failure??

all the cars ive ever owned ive been happy with.. ive never been dissapointed because ive never been beaten... or spent thousands to get only a second quicker.

i know whats under my bonnet, i know what my car does and it makes me happy... is that failing??

im not tryin because i already am.

Should be crossing the line in 4th....

I see... Did you let it hit the limmiter a couple of times in the other gears? I've had a chat to some of the other skyline guys at wsid and been told let it hit twice in each gear and you should end up at the top of 4th across the finish... Because 5th isn't an accelerating gear seems to work ok for me since I've been doing it

  • 3 weeks later...

Yah was down there last week. Just spectating. Noticed an R32 Gtr blow something on his 3rd run. It was grey. WTF happened man it stepped out at 3/4 track. And he also missed 3rd gear twice. Ill be running mine in a few weeks but dont have any goals for mine being mainly stock. As long as it runs quicker then my 98 rx subie i had which ran a 16.4 or my Tx3 lazer non turbo that ran a 18.4 LMAO. Not hard to beat i dont think.

i got an R33 gtst pullin 250rwkw @ 18 pound AUTOMATIC HAHAHAHAHA front facing greddy plenum, 90mm Q45 TB, HKS 555cc injectors, just jap fmic, aluminium radiator, GT3076R turbo, HPI staino tuned length manifold, splitfire coil packs, f**k knows spark plugs, oil cooler and relocated oil filter on 18 inch koya drift teks on 245/35/18 fronts and 285/30/18 on the rears but have a spare pair of 18 inch jap rims that im gunna slap a set of slicks or semi slicks on for drag/track applications..... and i havent even taken it down to the creek yet lolz i work night shift during the week and dont get the chance to go down there to run it...... i was wondering if they were gonna be running it on fridays again i think i remember them doin it on fridays a while back...... *scratches head* can anyone give me any info and advice on what they think it would pull down the quarter any info would be appreciated

they did the friday night drags in the 07/08 summer. it sucks that they didnt do it this year, you get loads more runs as its not so busy on either wed or fri. from 4-6 runs normally to 9-10 runs was awesome.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
