I think I'll be timing officially this time with a proper track timer - plus the old man will bring out his mega uber camera so pics will be available after. Gonna strap the video camera in the car too - so track footage should be cool.....

im keen to try and make it out. if i have enough time / money to get my car reddy.

what time do u have to get there?

I think last time we tried to be there by 8am, gives plenty of time to sign in and get the car all set up.

bit more camber for the track Chad?

I wish, but i dont have any camber adjustment. Just gonna make sure its all lined up right, cos the toe in on the back looks way out on one side.

Im keen to come have a look, interested in getting my car into this sort of thing, goes well through the hills but would imagine it would need a few tweaks to get the power down around a track and run a decent time. Im interested to see a few of the set-ups other higher powered GTRs run.

A few questions:-

Is Anyone alowed in the pits?

Does the day still go ahead if its a hot day?

What time it start, and how much $ to spectate?

Cheers

Andrew

spectators are allowed anywhere except the "car park" where the cars line up to go out onto the track, and the track itself. The cars all park around the sheds, you can only have one opened if you pay for it. So when people aren't racing, you can wander around and look at everyones cars, if thats what your hinting at

A few questions:-

Is Anyone alowed in the pits? YES

Does the day still go ahead if its a hot day? YES, but if its to hot i wont be going.

What time it start, and how much $ to spectate? starts about 9ish i think, and entry if free for spectators.

Cheers

Andrew

Would the exact same mounting work for a 32 gtr? my cooler kit is coming soon (same except only 16 rows and braided lines) and I don't even know how to take the front bumper off.

How did you make up those mounting brackets?

Im pretty sure it would mount the same in a GTR, depends on what BOV you have? I've got a single aftermarket one so it doesent take up much space.

I made up those brackets at work just using some 3mm alloy sheet that i cut up in the gillo.

looks the goods Chad.

Have to put my brake ducts in this week as well as change engine oil, put fire extinguisher in, and do a full check of the car.

Just wondering if i take my back seat out do i need to block the hole off to the boot?

It should be fine Luke, there's no car checks or anything.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
