Removing Stock Plenum Off A Rb25det

when removing stock plenum off a rb25det dose water need to be drained out of block aswell as radiator or just radiator

I didnt think it needed to be drained at all! The plenum is just a pipe for air so why would there be any water in it?

there is water gallerys that run through the plenum into the side of the block.....

i guess just pull the plenum off and coolant is gonna come out. If u want to put new coolant in just drain it from the bottom radiator hose and that should get most of the coolant out. depends how much u want to refill, but if ur going to need to bleed the cooling system when ur done either way

Ummm no there isn't...

There is coolant lines running through the intake runners but not the plenum. The only coolant that is near the plenum is the two lines that run through the throttle body to stop it from freezing shut.

guess the first place to start is to find out if its the complete manifold or just the top half.

i drain rad and was not sure if block need draining as water may get into head anyway all done and pulled off thanks anyway
