Hi everyone! had nistune installed onto my r34 (Neo engine) with auto tranny and the dyno results showed 233hp (12 psi)at the wheels.

I have stock turbo and engine, 3in exhaust with 3.5 catback to cannon. FMIC, air filter, EBC, custom oiler cooler and radiator, HKS BOV. Now after seeing everyone's postings on their dyno results, im thinking is my results too little?? 233hp whereas similar setup, the other guuys are getting at least 210rwkw. Im not sure if there is anything wrong

2ndly: My aim is about 400hp atw and I am going overseas where I will be able to get my hands on parts at a relatively cheaper price so wanna get some advice on what parts i should get. Roughly, im getting a upgrade on my injectors(500cc or 600cc?), fuel pump (bosch 044) and a GT-RS turbo. is there any other recommendations from you guys on what i should get to achieve that aim? Reliability is my top priority as it is my daily car.

boost peaks at 12psi cos i have been reading alot that for the stock turbo, the safe tune would be at 12 psi. did thought of pushing it to 14psi but wouldnt want the turbo to die on me too soon thus had it at 12 psi. you reckon its safe to have it at 14 psi? but i dun thrash the car all the time by the way.

^^

yeah he said he had a nistune remap.

Sounds about right, i've got a 34 neo with nistune, split/dump, stock turbo with r32 actuator set at 10psi and getting around 170rwkw. It's begging for more boost though.

200rwkw @ 12psi is where it should be. +/- 15rwkw for dyno differences and you really aren't too far away from there and you are running through an Auto so sounds spot on overall

Best way to tell is at a dyno day really, everyone on the same dyno, same day is the only real decent way of telling if your tune is low on power easily.

You can compare maps/timing and so on but each car is different so it become tricky.

As for 400rwhp/300rwkw, a GT-RS really isnt going to get to that. I think there was one or two cars that made that figure and no-one elese has come close so probably high figures as most seem to make closer to 260-270rwkw which is about the limit i'd push a stock motor anyhow.

Plenty of threads on 250/270/300rwkw setups, so have a search around

well, could be the auto box losing another 10-15hp for me. well, after spending on the nistune and ebc, i really was expecting about 240 hp. (215hp prior to installation but has a really shitty AFR) 180kw was a tad little disappointing. but oh well, since im not too far away, i shall keep working towards it. will be getting another turbo, injectors and fuel pump when i go for my hols in feb. will see how it goes. but shd be getting a high flow cat next week. will scan the dyno paper tomorrow at work and let you guys have a look.

    • I found a supplier for an arm in NZ. https://thrashgaragenz.com/products/nissan-skyline-v35-z33-350z-front-lower-straight-arm-rh-side?srsltid=AfmBOopMdfCFDc_8yVZZ9kq5nIngPHRTBzUU8v4SAptJaRO52Wjs0bC6 I looked closely at the photo of that one and the Z1 arm, and it's the same bloody arm. Scratches all match in the photo 😂 How hard is it to change that joint? Also they seem to be listing two options https://thrashgaragenz.com/products/nissan-skyline-v35-z33-350z-front-lower-straight-arm-balljoint-rh-side?_pos=1&_sid=229acde44&_ss=r And now I have no idea what size I'd need yay
    • Ill review it again, from memory when I first saw some of Trailer Park Boys I wasn't a huge fan. I ended up at Letter Kenny after watching Shoresy, which is a bit ass backward, ha ha
    • "lol dunno" either But like you, I can't see any reason they would need to be different LHD to RHD
    • I agree with you WRT the hard top. MX5's may be one of the better looking soft tops but I cannot think of ANY car, EVER that looks better with a soft top vs a hard top (or a designed roof). At all, ever. I also feel this way about the C5 Vette, the Z06 looks horrible compared to it's original form, it has an exaggerated version of the differences you're talking about.
    • Hey crew, Failed my WOF cause of a lower control arm, and I've decided to hit both arms, and also the compression rods at the same time(seems they're gonna be the most likely upcoming failure points from some discussions with the lads over on the G35 reddit). I've looking at these form Z1:  https://www.z1motorsports.com/front-suspension/hayaku-automotive/hayaku-g35-front-compression-rod-p-40716.html https://www.z1motorsports.com/front-suspension/hayaku-automotive/hayaku-g35-front-lower-control-arm-p-40674.html I asked Z1 if they'd work as it's the same platform, just RHD vs LHD. I basically got told "Lol dunno". Specifically they aren't aware of any difference but can't guarantee fitment as they haven't done it on a 350GT. So guess I'm asking is if there is any issues with using 2005 G35 coupe suspension parts on a 2005 350GT coupe? Orginally I thought it could be something in the way of the arms that each control arm is designed to be positioned around, but that'd be an engineering nightmare for Nissan needing two different shaped control arms 😅
