All the guessing in the world won't make any difference in your life unless you actually do it for real. What is happening with you guys these days ? What's next, asking if you could sprint 100mtrs in 7sec if you were wearing so and so shoes and had your hair parted in the middle for less wind resistance ? Perhaps if I tell my phone I weigh 100kilos and can leg press 600lbs for 12 reps @ 8% body fat I could get that down to 3 seconds.

These guessing gadgets are useless. Get out there and as Nike would say, "just do it".

I am quite aware of the fact I wont be able to get a very accurate time from posting on forums or using a freaking iPhone....and WILL take my car to WSID...When its done but till then I was trying to get a second opinion on my guestimates and see if the general SAU community thought I was being a bit optimistic.

You seem like the kid who used to kick over peoples sand castles, I work in the automotive industry and am not a dimwitted 17 year old so dont assume I'm a moron. and even if I was you shouldn't have such a facetious attitude.

With that info someone that is knowledgable and experienced should be able to give me ballpark figures.

So, Does someone who isn't a K to the N O B have an opinion?

210rwkw should be getting you down the strip pretty well in an R32.

However what i dont understand is using second hand 235s.

Im sure you are aware that as good as power is, traction is just as important. Have you got a button clutch? i can see your 60fts are just gonna be full of wheelspin already. Doesnt take alot in the 60ft to absolutely kill your times. Unless you are a freak at launching, but most of us arent :D

Pretty much whatever you lose in the 60, double by the end.

I would recommend if your serious about 12s then look into some sticky tires to get a good launch. Your times will improve heaps, and after all thats what we all want, right?

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
