got a luxon monoblock amp that has been connected to 2 mtx 12 inch 5500 subs (300 rms each).

Any way i have used this same setup over the last 3 years in 2 different cars. For the last year its been in the boot of my r33. I took out the subs to use the boot. I went to put the subs back in 3 weeks later and the simple job of just connecting the speaker wires to the amp and reconnecting the power fuse took allot longer because no sound came from the speakers.

I turned the volume up slowly and still no sound. The only movement in the speakers was they moved inwards alittle bit, asif the polarity was wrong but i had double and tripple checked this. Thinking it might work if i reverse the polarity i reconnected it the other way and the same thing happend.

I took one of my subs to a friend with a much smaller amp and carefully connected it to his amp to see if the speaker was stuffed. The speaker still works (although it was way underpowerd from the small amp, never the less it still worked).

Can someone confirm that the amp is most likely alittle rooted....

ps the blue light on the back of the amp still turns on when the power is connected.

has anyone repaired anything like this?

does someone have an amp that would suite 2x 12inch mtx5500 subs (600rms) that they wanna get rid of?
