SAU pool party and BBQ?

if only i had a pool!

sounds like a go'er. i think i hear ruby volunteering his pool.

my mate invited me round for a swim this arvo, but the pool is heated! its like constant 33 deg, whats the point?

just bacause the thermometer reads 33 degrees doesnt mean the pool is 33 degrees, they take a weird sample temp from a pipe that is normally exposed to sunlight, so it doesnt really mean much. and shit, even if it 33, thats 10+ degrees cooler than it is out of the pool.

yeah that place is freaking hot my old man used to work up there years ago.

UPS's has been going spastic since I got home (and probably before then). Theyve already ran out of charge. And 10 minutes ago there was a spike and everything in the house shut down for a fraction of a second. I'd love to curse etsa but those guys are working their balls off fixing everything. Yep, again I blame all government ;D

you all suck, i work in a kitchen with only enough suction from the canopy fans to just suck a piece of paper you throw at it! dam stingey owners who tap into our only cooling in the kitchen to keep the rest of the hotel cool! so 45 degrees outside, prob a good 55-60 degreees inside! also your in 100% cotton chef jacket, pants, apron! altho i prefer 15degrees over 45 ill shuttup and suck it up

i hear ya on that one bro!! im going up to tailem bend again this weekend to work and not looking forward to it.......gonna be a real stinker in the kitchen over the weekend :(

but ya get thru it in the end :) i just hope the heat keeps all the people away hahaha

yep when its 40 its 40, none of this 45 or 46 it all feels the same pete, but yeasterday just felt the same as every other day, must be 2 used to it now.

haha, it's funny how the body can adjust.

Not long ago, after a cold winter, I remember feeling really hot on the first 25 deg day in October.......if it was 25 deg tomorrow I think we'd now complain about how cold it is, lol

Was speaking to a guy at cricket before who is currently working 7pm til 9am ish shifts for ETSA, got called out yesterday to a transformer than was on fire, thing is they cant just put it out, they have to call the fore brigade after cutting the power to it etc.

You know it's warm when it finally drops below 40'c at 2049hrs, only to reach 40.2'c again at 0300hrs.

As for humidity, this place (Adelaide) doesn't get 'real' humidity... I'd rather 40'c and 10%, than 35'c and 95%.

Try working in Moomba 53 wearing long pants and shirt plus hard hat and 6 billion flies ........... :)

Yep old mans there atm. Used to work 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, heard plenty or stories from there.

Went for a dip at about 9:30 at the beach, was warm air but the water was quite cold, actually gave me shivers. Then I got bitten by sea lice (again) and got out.

I definately agree with you there Matt. Dry heat is easy to climatise, nothing worse than sweating 24/7.

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
