yeah it's not good man, ive felt that shit before but i was on my old shitbox..which i didnt really care about but when its ur pride and joy makes u cut as...it goes for the same as when some does a hit and run on a person its dusgusting luckily karma is a BIATCHHHH

hope someone comes forward saying they saw something...but i tell you one thing if it was one of us boys in a skyline hitting a car..."someone" would see it right away...i think people choose what they want to see...but all in all sorry to hear bro

bloody pricks !

when i was little like 10. i saw my great aunti maybe around 80 or so back her car out of the drive into a parked car's door and dented it, and broke her tail light.

she pulled forward, waddled over picked up the broken glass and waddle back waved goodbye and drove off ...... told my mum, who told the owner. was delt with later on

Sucks dude.... I had a courier mofo knock over my brand new GSXR 1000 K8 in the city a few months back...... damaged it real good. The wanker picked it up, dusted it off and then drove off. Luckly someone on a smoko break saw it and wrote me a letter.

Ask around - maybe someone saw it happen?

If you claim that on insurance, you should be able to do it as an "unknown driver hit your car whilst parked". I had this same situation with my old celica (with much worse results), but i got a full $3000 back on the car & no increased premium changes what so ever, because the car was parked & i had nothing to do with it. The lady was also drunk & in a stolen car.

For your info, i only had 3rd party with fire & theft options through Just Car. Took them maybe 2 months after i got quotes from 2 of their prefered repairers, then i got the full $3000 back was on my way with a car that was a write off, but i was still able to drive it til the rego ran out. I fixed the broken stuff enough to make it safe to drive in the mean time. Look into this cos i didnt even have to pay any excess, that was the full agreed amount the car was worth that i got back. Maybe different for a higher priced car like the skyline, but give it a shot.

Good luck....

thanks so much for the replies.it does make me feel alil better. i have tried to go thru my third party but i was shut down quite early as they said there was no way possible way to make claim even id the car was parked.if some one lit it on fire then yes but damage.

sucks with the whole situation.but i guess its not me that this happens to.

thanks again

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
