hm..... double pass cool, havent yet found one, plus im a perfectionist, thats why i got the FMIC i have, so the front looks even.

might be a long process.

the one with the pipe going behind the radiator in freddy's post. would that affect turbo response being such a long return pipe ?

who installed it and how much? i still havent haha, went to do it last night then realised we didnt have a big enough grinder

got my FMIC (non stealth) done at RE customs $300 for the install cause of the cutting and what not, cooler costed me $800 HPI justjap.com

Nice job,but ,did you reposition your oil cooler?I allways had the doubt if the 3 layers(fmic/cooler/radiator)don't create a "hot spot" slowing the air flow...

Yep that's exactly what I'm after (although it would end up costing over $1200 NZ by the time I get it here)! However it would be cost efective for an Aussie because there is no installation expense - it will more or less slot straight in.

I believe the ARC item is bigger than the Trust (which is bigger than the R34GTT/neo one) so should be good for around 220AWKW. In other words it would be good for some one who doesn't want a front mount showing (for aesthetic or compliance reasons) but plans on more power.

That intercooler doesn't look much bigger than the standard S2 one(maybe good upgrade for a S1) as the R34Gtt fmic upgrade says in the DIY section:

Time to measure it up, the core is 80 mm thick, compared to the standard Stagea's 65 mm. The core is 210mm wide and 225mm high (18 rows) while the standard Stagea intercooler is 210mmmm by 185mm (15 rows). This would indicate an improvement in flow of 23%, R34GTT is 206kw and Stagea is 170kw, that's a 21% improvement in power. Seems logical that Nissan would have some mathematical basis for upsizing the intercooler

maybe the arc has better air flow?but for $880...
