OK classic case of some opportunistic wanker who has broken into my black 8th gen civic whilst I was doing some grocery shopping at Galleria Morley. The guy has smashed the passenger window at around 12-1pm today (7th Feb) and taken my radar detector. The detector wasn't on the dash at the time but in the centre console so they probably looked in or saw the window mount.

The detector they took is an old Beltronics XR950. It is quite old and would usually come with the leather pouch. Whoever has taken this one would not have the pouch. So if anyone saw anything or spots one for sale on any forums, ebay, quokka, cash converters, etc. I'd appreciate knowing about it to maybe send some goons around

Now I gotta get my window replaced after they screwed up bits of the interior too...and I've only had the car back from the repairers for 4 days... grrrrr

Thats just sad mate. Sorry to here it. So many people are having their cars broken into lately, a friend of mine had his passenger window smashed and his bag stolen while parked in a very well lit carpark surrounded by 5 other skylines and an FD RX7. Surely the unemployment rate isnt THAT low??

I'll keep an eye out for you mate

yeah the security guards think it could be the 'same guy' because of the similar style in which the break in seems to occur. They're trying to find any security footage but it's unlikely.

Just shits you when it happens at 1pm in a very busy car park and noone does anything.

:PGrammar Time?

Mr. Tetchy! LOL! I absoltuly suport u wif ur corz, Mike. Seems like you may be joining me in another cause that is pushing sh#t uphill!!

Hi from Singapore (again).

Meanwhile, on topic ... .... ..... ..... I hate shopping centre car parks. Especially the ones with really narrow parking spaces. The choice is: park out of the way so that you get an end spot and can put as much space between you and the one neighbouring - thus leaving yourself open to attention from the scumbags of this world; or park in a busy area, minimising scumbag attention, but maximising pillocks opening their door into your car!!!

Solution - small kids! Can I borrow any?

Cheers.

lol yea i always park near a curb or pole and give as much space as possible for the other person to park cause lets face it ppl just cant park, and i despise parking at shopping centres, but yea... i live like 10 min from the galleria never really had any parking issue's... where do you park an yea bl on that as well all the best with that...ive seen a fair few cars with windows smashed in on the car park near myer facing the morely medical centre... maybe park in the undercovered area or directly infront of food shops (that are open) so other people have a direct view of your car so its less prone to a break in where as compared to being parked in the corner of a parking lot under a lamp... top of the galleria car park is a good spot as well or derectly in front of fast eddies and that chicken treat place however in saying that dont park 100 meteres away from general public sight as its more prone to someone breaking in at night or even during the day...when at the movies an such or eating at festies or going to that pub... just my tips on where to park thats all hahaha =P personally havnt had it and *touch wood* wont happen but ive seen it happen to a few ppl and it's a real shin kicker... good luck with that though

sorry to hear

i avoid parking at the galleria as much as possible. One of the few times i parked there, some useless shit reversed into my front bar. No message, no phone number, no nothing. Probably some old tart that didnt even realise she hit me...

Only if i had no life, i would walk around the shopping centre car park all day and watch out for these useless pricks then promptly belt their head in with a trolley bar. So much for bloody security guards, useless pricks

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
