heya installing the Sard 550's into my rb25det motor. purchased through justjap, theyre brand new. what seems to be the problem i that the new injectors are:

1- not as wide as the original ones, therefore slide in and out of the rail very easily

2- both top and bottom O-rings dont seem to be sealing up

3- the injector cap (the cap thing that holds the injectors in) dont fit back on if i sit the injector into the rail

am i doing something wrong? am i meant to change the O-rings or anything? is it possible the injectors given to me were wrong? bear in mind the RB25's are sidefeed injectors.

all help is much appreciated!

You have to use std RB25DET injector o-rings from nissan. The sards do not come with the correct o-rings.

Good luck mate. If you are not sure make sure you get some one with a mechanical background to check you as side feeds can be very tricky.

well test fitted the standard O-ring that was on my stock injector and its very loose with about a 1-2mm gap between the injector and the O-ring. ..any alternatives to the Nissan ones? car goes in on friday morning for the tune! ugggg

ok removed the rubber bits in the caps and fit looks ok. still need to seal off the upper region .....somehow......so new standard O-rings?

No need those are just dampers for the std injectors.

thanks for the confirmation URAS.

fark new O-rings are a rip from nissan...$5 each x 6....

injectors are in the rails now, fit is good, though not sure how tight to screw the allen key bolts down. are the collars meant to touch the rail? currently mine are 2-3mm's away from touching but theyre pretty damn tight already, sounds right?

Yer my collars didnt clip on properly, touching the rail.. not sure if this is bad or not though.

Anyone have any info on this?

Sard sell an optional part which is a seperate collar that's required for some cars when using their injectors. You may need a set of those.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
