The one in those pics all seem to be the same car, looks to be a gtr. Theres a cage, mfd, fmic - turbonetics (the piping looks normal). Do all other skylines have the 2 horns at the front?

Thats the point though... they are made purely to make money, without an incidental shred of artistic integrity, of course they work, they don't just make movies like these and release them to the masses, they are shown to a test audience and recut and recut and edited until they appeal to the lowest common denominator, getting people into the cinema doors regardless of the effect on the storyline/plot development, hence the more discerning types tend to take a dim view of them.

this looks like it is taking the best from the 1st and second films.

story seems lame, basically number 2 again.

seen the trailer, they even do the whole truck hi-jack again.

ill end up seeing it because the movies entertain me, but im not expecting much, if the cars look the goods, scenes are fun enough then ill be happy.

Its classic, great movie with heaps of laughs and gags...i mean seriously anyone that is on these forums and doesnt like the movie is weird. Not only is it corny, when the movie comes out most of the time the actual literal market value rises on our cars so most peeps that arnt in the know how or comming up from a younger audience see a Skyline and go i want one...you can guess what every kid is gonna want ythe same thing....Bang...your R33 that was 15K is now 17K Ching ching!

One thing id like to see is more techincal talk in the movie and engine talk, but then again that wont appeal for the general audience that goes to see cars smashing, doing stunts etc etc, people wanna see blue and white flames come out the back of your car when you press a button and have a giant scuba diving sized NOS tank in your passenger seat. Its all part of the fun, it inspires people to make great show cars, it inspires people to join the automotive scene, it gets people back on the wagon and talking. Why this thread itself wouldnt be a hot topic if not the case...

yeah most can appreciate the corniness, but you'd never say it was a well made franchise lol, or anything other than mindless entertainment.

I think that they should have used a VL for the hero car though, just like in real life

In terms of taking the movie seriously; are you saying that you are a joke then? I mean you said it's a great movie. That sounds like you seriously mean it. On the other hand I think it's crappy all round and poke fun at it, doesn't sound like I take it serious but, I kind of like to think I'm still a joke too.

Truth is I think you stand out on this forum if you like the FnF movies. Making either the forum weird or you, possibly both? But, basically to like the movie puts you in with neons and dose pipes section.

It inspires people to make abortions of cars. They are 'Great' for a laugh however whether at a show or driving down the road. Thanks FnF.

It inspires people to buy a car (usually some sort of NA in the case of a skyline proving they are into the image not the cars), put on neons, a giant wing , stereo system that weighs so much it negates any performance, talk, dress and drive like a retard (ultimately crashing and increasing everyones insurance premiums on that type of car) and then in 2-5yrs time work out they actually aren't into performane cars just the image and buy a hybrid car and a house .

I think this thread is pretty decent 'Wasteland' Material too

I watched the first two movies again with my girlfriend last night, and she even laughed at the dialogue (not into cars or particularly artistic movies either), I did notice that in the first one the yellow R33 is about the only car missing the 15kg and metre tall wing lol. Oh and Paul Walker reminds me of a labrador.

And yeah 99% of comments in these threads are satirical like rev210 said, poking fun at a movie that walks the line of mediocrity and over the top cheesiness!

There aren't too many movies based around cars, so take it for what it is, FUN! I like them personally lets me escape reality for a few hours.
