RBPOWA-(TJ)
My auto has decided not to work propally to the point where it wouldnt down gear out of third and found it very hard to move uphill in third. turned the car off for a few mins, turned back on, the A/T light was flashing for 1min then off it went, but have no over drive. and its had a slow leak for about 1month now, but nothing went wrong now its decided to. Any of you very helpful people know any good places to get a service kit installed ? Fast , quality work and affordable ? South east would be preferd too Cheers TJ Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/257105-transmission-workshop/ Share on other sites
llama_au
I use Yarra Valley Automatics on Maroondah Court in Lilydale. They definitely know what they're doing. Customer service/turn-around can leave a little to be desired, but they're definitely good. They don't do MV kits though they use Keas kits which are just as good. Good luck mate. khunjeng
If ur out east : Lilydale Automatics Factory 36, Industrial Gardens Cavehill Rd, Lilydale, VIC 3140 p: (03) 9735 4555 IMO these guys are the best. Solved all my difficult issues with a number of auto boxes that nobody was able to. In fact I was so suprised at the incompetence of many places I just dont bother even as its a bit far for me to go but I still go there as I take it there once, its fixed and I never go back. RBPOWA-(TJ)
got my car back from knox autos. they hooked it up to there comp did there test, couldnt come up with anything , everything was running fine. they guess its the soilenoids, or the wiring loom. but wont do anything till im ready to cough up the cash for them to get stuck into it. cause i let them know i need it for the weekend, so they didnt wanna get to involved at this time. asked them if they fixed the leak, it was a gasket seal, they didnt fix it cause when i go back going to have to buy another gasket seal for there price of $120-140. so they topped up the fluid, told me to keep an eye on the level and top up when need to. and it should be right for the long drive, just bring it back when i can. so all there work and advice and fluid and testing .... FREE !!! very good and helpful people. but they dont do shift kits for mine, RE401B ...they do RE401A though . dodgey ! ~R33AzzA~
For a shift kit I would use the MV automatics one. It doesn't matter where you go really, they will all give you the same result, it comes down to price and how helpful they are. I personally chose the MV kit which I purchased second hand from a forum member.
