From what i remember TPG is a shit product and shit service. The only good thing about it is that its cheap.

I dont have my internet with any major provider, i use AANET 8MB connection 50gb per month... have not had any issues with them at all and most importantly it has customer support which is local :)

TPG rate pretty highly on that list. I reckon I would call customer service once a year, so customer service quality is less important, although I would probably be the first to get annoyed at shit service when I am actually on the phone to them.

Who knows ey? We are still living in the dark ages in this country when it comes to internet servic and they want to further damage it by implementing this travesty of compulsory filtering. What a joke.

take a good read on tpg own forum.. if you are having bad luck like me, u gonna restart your modem every 1-10 hours as you will lose connection/drop. I have changed 3 modems, even using TPG recommended ones.. Worst experience is losing connection in 4x minutes, and i have to face this issue every day (EVERYDAY 365 days!!!!!!!)..

VERY USUAL and most of the people who face this kind of issue, will not be able to fix no matter wat.. ALTHOU the tpg will try to help u out by isolation and stuff (which i done it for xx times, and still i m facing the face issue)

I m using their broadband internet(200gb, $79) and mobile ($49 cap, only paying $9.99). When the contract ends, i will throw it away!

also, PLEASE check how far are you from the service point(forgot wat it is called), u can check at their website too. The further u are, the slower your internet speed(100%) and more chances of having my issue (60%??)

I had a similar issue - found out the actual problem was related to the telephone line - thre was some sort of line issue - not the Internet provider. You may need to see Telstra (or who ever provides your phone line).

I spent the first 3-4months of my ADSL connection troubleshooting line problems with TPG/Telstra, Telstra eventually came by and found the issue was with the old line to the house and replaced it (even though there system couldn't detect it remotely).

TPG's customer service is pretty bad, prices are good. And service is pretty good these days, downtime is rare (unlike 4 years ago where it was common to be down for significant amounts of time)

I use Bigpond Extreeme 30Mb/s plan. Nothing like downlaoding all your torrents in 15min while doing 10 at a time.

I also only use Telstra NextG as every other network is shit in comparision for coverage.

Thanks must go to work for paying for all of this.
