Making your dash look like an xmas tree (or "Radiator Problem!")

Was heading along the freeway today (about to zoom thru the toll gates) when:

Engine turned off

Brake booster stopped

Power Steering Assistance stopped

Thousands of dashboard lights came on

And best off all, the temp guage made it all the way to "H"

Anyway, to cut a short story long, turns out I've got a leak in the radiator, coolant left its home *very* quickly, car got very hot and engine decided to have a sleep to look after itself.

Also, it looks like a green blooded alien fell into the fan - theres coolant everywhere!

Car's in for a radiator pressure test and replacement core (hopefully).

Just thought I'd share, it was an ugly looking situation but pretty easy problem in the end.

Hard luck Duncan, but if it hasn't been hit with anything, i'd be taking it back!!! seems wierd that she got to hot, i was at wakefield a awhile back and somehow had nearly the entire contents of my radiator sprayed throughout the engine bay and half way down the side of the car!!! Didn't know this til i came back in, was cooling her down when i noticed that it didn't go down below 3/4, SLOWLY put about 3 or so litres of water in it, all fixed and temp went down, but never had and problems since then!!! WIERD.......

also with the rubber belts get the coolant off them too...could make them for fragile etc... know when they do the water pump they state to make sure if any coolant gets on the timing belt to wipe it off asap.
