its not the maintenance cost you should be worried about, its the risk that your insurance company will void your warranty if they find out you accepted money for driving people around.

well u said voiding warranty..not insurance...to me that is different.

to me thats kinda "same shit, different smell"?

lol

i guess what hes saying is kinda in sync to what i was mentioning earlier.

what i hope you realise is, its a big price your really asking for.

especially with that sort of reimbursment your offering. if you think about it...hiring a late model BMW 318i is worth alot more than everything thats going to be included from you.

this is something thats someones, hard earned money...

even if they are rich.............the rich are harder to draw blood from than a stone, i can tell you that much. Try asking your request to millionaires like the owner of Rick Damelian or the owner of Virgin blue whom are both filthy...loaded...to the extend they wont even cringe losing a million at the casino.

but yet......tell them that you are good sport in the Skylines Australia Forum...needing a car for your wedding. I guarrantee you that they will not be lending you a car for the love of god....

so once again, try and understand

epecially the way you are being so picky about it too......but yet so desperate at the same time...

if i were you and was in your position......id offer them $500, AT LEAST......minimum........for the car you are SPECIFICALLY asking for.

please dont take this as being offensive....im just letting you know how some people on here feel...

anyways...all good

..happy days!

Its all personal opinion. Some people don't mind, some people do. Ive driven plenty of cars to formals for $200 with out food (including my uncles 300k 911 porsche turbo) etc. If I had a 34 I would not mind - they only cost 50k now. Some people just like to go for a cruise in their car from a - b, but to get paid for doing so is a top bonus. If my importer has an R34 GTR at the time of your wedding and it doesnt get sold, he said I could borrow it.

This was one I was going to get for you until it got sold:

That's nice of you Jez.

If you were thinking of JapLink though, I was told by Todd and Yumi that they weren't considering getting any more R34 GTRs right now.

well my philosophy with R34 GT-R all these years was.....

the Majority of people who actually WANT that car...... CAN'T afford it. because its generally the younger people whom would want that car...

And generally for the people who CAN afford it.......DON'T end up getting a car like that.

because, for e.g at its current market value (60,000+/-).. if you really look around on the roads...theres actually ALOT of cars that is worth more than that. practically any brand new BMW 3 Series is worth that amount. Most Mercs, Audi, Lexus exceed that price too.

look at the Lexus SC430 Convertible for e.g...im sure you see them around here and there.

they look just as simple like an Honda S2000... but its worth $168,000, so that person couldve bought 2 R34 GT-Rs... but people just simply dont.

im not sure the statistics with import scene......

but it seems like the importers dont do too well with R34 GT-Rs..im guessing due to the price and recession....

coz remember the V-spec 1 bayside blue GT-R at E & M imports in Fivedock?

that was sitting there for nearly 2 years.

their prices seemd a bit high for it but then again...after the aussie dollar went kaput...it actually sits at a decent price @ 55,000$

i think importers sell alot more S15 Silvias, Skyline GTS & GT-Ts...

That's nice of you Jez.

Hey cool, you know Todd and Yumi! Top people, would not buy my car anywhere else! Yeah at the moment he has those V35's and V37 thingy's coming in. The 350GT he had was a dream to drive!

    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
    • I suppose it was relatively stock too, the JZ motor handle most mods thrown at them without even breaking a sweat
    • I saw your intro update, are you sure you've actually had a starter motor failure? You mention it could be the alarm causing it. I'm assuming you've got a no start issue, but what are the exact symptoms, as there could be a few reasons it has stopped wanting to start.
