FOOD - FOOD - GLORIOUS FOOD!

We have mentioned already that you should bring your own food and water!

We also mentioned that the little Chimney Cottage cafe could be overrun with orders if everyone rocked up to that.

It may be possible to call the Chimney Cottage cafe after arrival at Mt Wilson and order your lunch thro' Margaret on 02-47562022 but...

if you drove there (3 mins away), you might lose your parking spot and your car might miss out on being inspected for a prize.

Or else you could walk there and back in 45mins - pretty walk though.

The Newie /CC group will be leaving the servos at 8.00am sharp.. that should give us enough time to get there

Is there any chance if its going to be called off that someone could contact me and then i can still meet with the group that turns up on the coast and let them know?? PM me for mobile number and such!

Cant wait.. ive got a nuts saturday planned, if i can i might give the car a wash!!

If you are uncertain whether the day is going ahead or not due to weather, please give one of the organisers a call.

NOTE: MEETING POINT IS AT PENRITH REGATTA CENTRE. REGISTRATION FOR ENTRY TO SHOW & SHINE AND DONATIONS TO CHARITY BEGIN AT 9:15AM.

When you arrive at Penrith Regatta Centre please lookout for one of the organisers in orange shirts to park you at your relevant areas. This will help with traffic flow and grouping upon departure.

Please don't forget to print off a copy of your program guides.

See this is the thing, because weather is such an unpredictable thing, it'll make it hard.

Like at 8am it could be fine and sunny, and then by 8:45 it could be all over and pouring down, by which time most people have already started turning up/left.

Like my cousin is coming down from bathurst, and i'm bringing one guy from the coast who may have to catch a train.

Guys let me talk to the other organisers and get back to you ok?

sounds to me like a whole lot of pussy footing about here. The cruise has been arranged, the numbers confirmed, so its on regardless. Ok so it could rain, or perhaps even hail, but how that differs from any other day i dont know if its does we improvise and find cover.

Good to see some people setting up contact if it does fall down, but lets not all get carried away with the nerves here, coz all that does is throw a shadow over months of hard work and planning.

Sack up boys n girls, unless its a big reason i cant see an event of this magnitude getting canned. Props to the oganisers im sure it'll all turn out fine

Jason, I will be leading group two.

If you are unsure about the weather calling off the event please give me a call sometime after 7am. 0432 043 112.

Going to buy all the Meguiars stuff this arvo.

Cant wait!!

I like your enthusiasm - but please don't jump the gun and claim things will be on regardless; similarly sized SAU events have been postponed in the past before due to weather.

LOL this reminds me of school days where you call a hotline on Saturday morning to see if your sporting matches were still on

Powerplay just called me to confirm there's 2 clients with R34 GTR's coming. And chances are there's more.

Unfavourable weather will be an issue this weekend for many reasons. Magazine shoot, swordsmen performance, muddy parking spots, muddy reserve for lunch, etc. It will be postponed for the following weekend if we decide this Sunday is not fit for the event.

It will not be cancelled.

Riding shotgun with STYLN.

Bring your smiles. :P

i saw you browsing this before, and i was going to ask if you were coming, got busy tho :P

Would be good to have you there to take some awesome shots!

hahaha..

"Hello, i was wondering if my Under 10's soccer game is on today?"

"No sorry its been cancelled because of the rain"

*massive disappointment*

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
