well not sure how mine will turn out :D its raining outside, and im finishing cleaning my car in half dark lighting lol. damn rain. sucks. Plus my car has shit paint etc. and bad panel gaps.

Car is washed, inside and out - to the best of my concentration and strength anyways! Doesn't look too shabby but definitely won't be winning any Best Exterior prize!

Anyone heading up from the North Shore or Northern Beaches? Missus and I wouldn't mind some buddies on the way to Penrith. We're planning a 8 to 815 departure to make the 930 meet. Have to take it easy, fuel will be an issue tomorrow!

I'm heading out from the north shore (pymble), was thinking of leaving at around 8 or so.

Car washed - check

Interior cleaned - check

Muffler shiny (lol) - check

Lawns mowed - check

Chores around house done - check

Beer o'clock - check

Now to pass 12 hours. :D

And head Terrys advice. It can get very cold up in the mountain.

Car washed just did the final touches myself lol.

Pipes under bonnet all polished (took 2 days) and did it all myself standing on 1 leg.

Is there a prize for the best effort??!!!! :D

We have acquired 50 pens to use for the voting sheets so no need to bring them.

We also purchased Coke, Coke Zero, lemon squash and bottled water as well just in case ppl forgot or run out of drinks.

Also have small packets of chips as well, kiddie sized.

$1.50 for the drinks each.

Fiddy Cents each for packet of chips.

SO BRING LOOSE CHANGE! (and dont expect change for 100 dollar bills!!)

YAY :) one more sleep to go!!!!!

Just got home from a 200-plus km drive home and it was worth every hour on the road today. All the cars looked awesome and there were some real stand-outs. Well done to all the winners and everyone who made the effort to attend.

Great cruise guys. I ended up coming. Had electrical issues not the battery. Got it sorted and made it in the nick of time!

I was the late one lol.

Did anyone see rescue and ambulance vehicles go past?

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
