they are ment to be good for like over 600kw are they not?

i only have 300kw atm on 15 close to 16psi but yeah no shuffle so far....

ill let you know how it goes once i rewire this fuel pump and add some more boost :P

what mods do you have?

hey, custom made dumps, custom made inlet (prob half the problem there!) injectors, pump, G4 link, profect b, etc etc running 18lbs 310 RWKW, stock internals, cranking boost to 20lbs soon.........

Stock GTR bov's leak?

Yes

@ Idle they open and this helps avoid the comp surge.

same as the stock rubber piping etc etc.

Nissan made the RB26 setup perfectly in that respect. You have issues only when you go hard pipe kits, take off the stock BOV setup etc etc.

I have -5s, HKS hard pipe kit + Drag Cooler, standard exhaust and inlet manifolds, 20psi, NO BOV, NO SHUFFLE.

Many people have recently had this problem, its related to the turbo intakes, BOVs, and a few other things I cant remember.

Id be looking at your inlet. Its the only thing different.

What R31 Nismoid and femno said

I have the same setup and no shuffle either.

As nice as it looks, I'd scrap it and go the standard bov's too.

dam i couldnt bring myself to scrap it, i didnt ask my mechanic to build it like that, but thats what he did, i dont want to through more money away too, might just get that BOV done, then live with the noise, just would like to here those ol' -5's spool up, rather then 'thomas the tank engine' on crack

cheers robbie

i get the same issues with my setup to the cchh chh chhh

i have std rebuilt turbos w steel wheel on ss manifolds, full hard pipe kit and no bov and pfc with afm just shy of 300kw but i recon its the manifolds not being tuned lengths or the hard piping not being the same length from turbos to intercooler. what i was going to do is run a 2 into 1 intercooler and make the pipe lengths the same from the turbos to the intercooler?

what do you guys recon? and im not giving up the the hard piping kit lol

nice intake mate!

leave it and try the stock bovs first

hey thanks for that,

yeah going to try a softer spring first on the HKS BOV, then will prob leave it at that, may go back to stock if i ever have anymore spare coin :)

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
