did the drive in a X-trail i have rented, currently sitting outside watching the sun go down drinking a bottle of 18 year old scotch

Heads up us north lads are heading down your way tomorrow night (B&R meet) seeing as you lot are too lazy to come up and see us.

Whats up with your car John?

doing too many hektic skidz and popped a tyre/rim.

still dont know how the front tyre went bang lol

Whats up with your car John?

One of my tyres went down (thinking it was the valve) and i didn't know it had come off the back bead. Limped it to the workshop to put air in it and heard and awful scrape... that was the rim buckling. So now I need new rims. Ordered them, but they won't get here till next wek. To add to that I'm being screamed at to get my car out of the workshop. So awesome fun.

So looks like i'll be going heli-boarding on sunday if we get some good snow on friday/saturday, full day flying back country run, no lifts no crowds. Only down side is a higher possibility of death or injury. But im ok with that.

On another note the only skylines i have seen over here are non turbo 4 door 33's on stocko 15" alloys. Probably CA20's

did see a nice 180sx though

john,

you can use the wheels that were on my car. (not the BBS ones) that will get you out of strife. they are yours to pick up. mine has no suspension under it currently so I'm in no hurry to use them.

also

fkn subaru!!

Cheers, Chris. It's looking like I might need to pinch them for a week. Can I swing by at lunch tomorrow and grab them please? My rims should arrive early next week.

hey fellas.

John I also have a set of rims here if you want to borrow them.

Thanks mang! But I gotta get it out of there tomorrow though unless I want a really cranky SM. And Chris is right around the corner.

    • I'll get one of these also just for giggles
    • I bought 6 new spark plugs to compare readings. They will be here tomorrow and ill see if meter is far off if it all. I know one is at least reading 0 so its best replace all anyway if one is bad, from experience. I still have to test the harness just to be sure its not a double issue and I waste my time haha-the old plugs are iridium I always thought those lasted more than 50,000 km.
    • If you take the top half of the intake off you can unbolt the flap off the shaft and leave the shaft in there blocking the hole. Then you can remove the little vacuum canister off from under the manifold and get a spare vacuum line to run to the ECU. I can take some photos of it later. Probably best to get the vacuum source to the ECU sorted first though. Mine all worked mint with the base map from the GTT an I've pretty much let the closed loop sort the fueling and took 1 degree out of the whole timing map.
    • This IS something you also have to configure in Haltech (or at least I did in the past when going from onboard-to-ECU map sensor and an external MAP sensor in haltech land).
    • I'm hoping it's something as simple as the ECU is looking for an external MAP sensor, but he is trying to use the onboard MAP sensor.
