Morning Mangs,

Cut off a police car this morning and did skids in front of them. They didn't pull me over :D

you are doing well. they would have locked me up..

Morning.

Bad start to the day. Raging headache when I wake up, no pain killers in appartment and then I drop the nut off my negative terminal clamp into my engine bay and it doesn't come out the other side.

At least the rain seems to have f**ked off :)

LOL.

The full story is this:

Was ~4 or 5 cars back at a T junction, waiting to turn right. This particular T junction has very poor visibility to the left (crest) and is a fairly busy road.

Was waiting there for quite some time, and there was a number of large gaps in the traffic that the front car did not take. I assumed it must be a useless P-Plater/L-Plater/Woman, and was starting to get p*ssed off.

Anyway then the guy jumps out and asks the guy behind him for a push. I got out to help too, as did one or two others. It was a VP commo or something, and as we pushed it away there was a MASSIVE puddle of oil under it (like, the whole sump worth). Nasty.

So then we go back to our cars and proceed on our merry way.

Now by this time, there is a MASSIVE line up of cars waiting to turn right, and we have all been waiting some time as well, so the gaps being taken were perhaps a bit more optimistic than usual...

Anyway I get to the front of a line, see a gap and go for it. As pull out, a cop car comes flying over the crest to the left, but I am already halfway out into the first lane so I am committed.

So what I do is give it a bit of juice in order to get a hurry on and try not to cut the copper off too much, right. But of course, my rear tyres are now coverred in the oil that had vacated the afforementioned VP commo's sump, resulting in instant traction loss despite only a little throttle tap.

The end result of this was a beautiful sideways entrance into the lane I wanted to be in, right in front of the cop car I was busy cutting off... I thought I was going to be in for trouble for sure.

Anyway maybe half a km down the road is the train crossing I mentioned before, which we had to sit and wait for about a million trains to go through. Cop car was right behind me for the whole time, and then a few kms after as well before going our seperate ways.

I can only assume they left me alone for one/more of the following reasons

1) I suspect they were speeding, and knew it. They came flying over that crest

2) They spotted the puddle of oil and matching tracks leading to my wheels, and the broken down commo on the side of the road, and managed to put 2+2 together.

3) Pintara factor/end of shift/etc.

4) Good kharma repayment for helping to push old mate's car ;)

5) I am a god. The evidence has been there too long to keep denying it...

drive into underground carpark a kippa ring shopping centre around 10am

drive into the corner where there are no cars (ie. no chance of cars parking next to me and denting my doors)

auto headlights come on due to it being dark under there... thus lighting up more stuff and improving visibility...

turn the corner into a space and there is a guy (about 30ish) with his pants down doing a shit in the carpark native style...

not only that he waves while touching it (the poo) with his other hand...

i hit reverse cause i thought he was about to fling it... and go the hell outta there...

    • Thanks MBS206, i got that PDF but got abit overhelm with all the connections and tracing of wires. I wasn't expecting to plug the dash harness anywhere. i was just going to use my electronics jumper wires to plug into the right pins like ECU power, ecu ground, ignition trigger etc... I do have a few ratchet straps locking it down tight. Fire extinguisher ready and only a small amount of fuel at a time, enough to submerge the pump.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, i will do abit more digging. I am missing a blue relay near the ECU connector... so i will chase that up in the next few days as well
    • https://yariksteel.ru/manual/R33/Skyline_R33_elektroprovodka.pdf   Page 18 should be what you want for the Dash Cluster wiring. Though, you don't need the dash plugged in to get the motor running. What you want is power as how GTSBoy said. You need to power the ECU. Find in the above link the ECU pin outs (Verify them before just connecting them up from things written on the internet). Find anything needing power, give it power, find anything needing ground, give it ground. Then give the starter motor power through a big cable, and bridge the solenoid on the starter straight to power too.  ECU will be on, and when you give the starter power, it'll spin the starter motor, and it should start. I also hope you have a proper stand, and not just the engine sitting on some wood. You will want it bolted down properly.
    • Hello everyone, I am happy to join you.
    • Whereabouts are you, that looks exactly like Akira's old car....
