Universal Pictures is having a red carpet premiere of the Fast and the Furious 4 on Wed 8th of April in Sydney.

We'll be there filming the event and putting some cars on display and now Universal have asked us to provide two cars to pick up Paul Walker and Vin Diesel and drop them at the premiere while the media awaits on the red carpet. The driver of the car will then get to see the movie and some season tickets to take mates once it opens at cinemas.

Now, Paul Walker actually loves GTRs in real life so that would be the most suitable car.

I have to show Universal a few options and they will make the final decision. Basically they will judge it on how hot it looks to a "normal person"

Car must have back seats as will need to drop off Paul, Publicist and a security guard

If your interested email pics of your car to:

unfortunately no chance of replacing rear seats in car but you are welcome to have car for static display or anti-lag limiter exhibitions.

The 'Bakes' R34 looks the goods and will have a Red 'R' Racing upgrade freshly finished by the time you need it. Ill get some pics.

OK JAS-25T, look at my username and think of who owns the car and youll release your the goose and there's no duck around. I think running Ignition DVD and holding the premiere of Fast and the Furious 3 is good enough credentials for the post.

Oh, and I started a new username cos my old one was from 6 years ago and had no relevence

Surely you know who Andrew Hawkins is?

He is not as famous as his sister (Jennifer) but almost.

Doof...Andrew has been a member on here for years...but has been in stealth mode under another username.

Just curious Andrew, what's your cut for finding "supplying" vehicles?

Also do you represent one of those "car model" type agencies for t.v ect? (for future reference)

And by all means release your goose, it deserves it's freedom.

That's actually what I thought, which is why I thought it was a bit sus too when this new Andrew turned up...

oh yeah, and I'm just gunna start dobbing in nice cars

no cut, no agency, no bullshit, no goose

Im filming the premiere event for Castrol and was asked as a favour to provide cars. Easier to film it all if im organising it.

I don't do the whole "agency thing" if I need cars for something i just ask.

Oh, and yes I've been on this site for ages but seems as i don't have a Skyline and poeple think ( read: think) Ignition is bling only then too many people try and be haters and I don't really have the time or care factor to worry about that. Maybe when I build a GTR people on this sight will be nicer to me.

you're not getting bagged for it man, relax... (oh sif edit your post)

I know of quite a few members that visit pretty regularly that will love to do it, one having a bayside blue R34 Tommy Kaira...

It will all work out in the end

Or, you can buy a cheap ticket for Superlap and pick and choose while you're there

Cool, i've been pondering putting my 2 old girls to work, doesn't hurt to ask.

Btw I loved your theory on the space-time continuum...some good work indeed.

Thx and goodluck.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
