Hi guys,

Ive been going through the G35Driver site and see lots of cars with Wheel spacers, i thought it would be a nice touch since im a little strapped for cash i think it would be a good/effective mod.

Firstly i was in AutoBarn today and saw 10mm spacers hanging for around $30bucks a pair, i asked and he said they were universal, which is a down point already, but i wanted to know if anyone had them, what they look like and where you got them from in Australia?

Thanks!

Iv used wheel spacers on my old 180sx although that was only because my wheels were touching the R33 4 pot callipers. One thing to remember though using slip on spacers is going to place more load on the end of the wheel studs. Having said that I went to a few drift and sprint days without any issues.

Its also a defect to have spacers as well

my wheels are stock so they don't attract a lot of attention, plus i don't think our V35s are completely on the police radars.

so where did you get your spacers from?...and were they specific to your vehicle?

erm.. u can get it easy, but just remind u, it is not a problem with cops that u should be worried, it's insurance.

SAU do got a lot of traders, i believe there must be someone/shop selling..

SUPPORT SAU TRADERS!! (i think they do pay some sort for our benefit?)

i bought the ICHIBA Spacers from the USA from one of the websites which sell the car parts. ended up costing me about $180 AUD landed at the time.

These are high quality spacers.

I got the 10mm Slip on hubcentric spacers which also come with the correct length wheel studs. they are very safe and there is no vibration whatsoever at high speeds. they are made of a lightweight magnesium alloy. they are packaged and look exactly the same as a set of H&R spacers i bought some years ago. they are not universal but specifcally drilled for the 5 x 114.3 and also the wheel studs are 1.25mm which needed to be specified.

all in all excellent purchase, would def. recommend them to anyone who wants slip on spacers.

Just quoting tire size is of no use to whether you need camber or not. Quote your wheel width and offsets will give us a better indication. Also if it's not rubbing your guards or fouling any other body part then you prob don't need any additional camber. I had super streets on my 34 and did not need camber tops as it was only a daily driver and did not scrub the guards. Hope that helps.

sorry, bad at these.. front width 8.5, rear 9.5, offset +35. Now rubbing guard now and the coilover will b put on this saturday, but believe wont have rubbing.. If will, will just roll it that day.

wondering, super street can be set to comfy daily drive, rite?

I believe its the diameter of the "bolt" on which you place your wheels...so the nuts which fasten your rims will fit!

hmm, "they have to be specified" i used to think it was a universal size.

they have to be specified of course they do, because when you are buying these wheel spacers they are not universal.

they COME WITH LONGER WHEEL STUDS to replace your stock ones

if you get 1.5mm studs, your 1.25 stock wheel nuts wont fit

recently i bought some aftermarket wheel nuts (rays) and the guy gave me 1.5mm by accident, i had to take them back and get the 1.25mm because the 1.5 of course did not screw on properly at all.

Okay thanks for that so wouldn't all our V35s be 1.25mm?

Cheers

    • Hahahahah, look, your not wrong πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and thank you brother πŸ™πŸΌ jokes aside, I haven't driven the car in 6+ years and it's like I'm starting all over again, and furthermore the car is wayyyy more powerful and it's characteristics are night and day different now compared to what I remember. So I'm slowly easing myself back into the groove, the car is literally scaring me a bit tbh.....it feels like it has 200hp more than it does on paper and responds like a cammed Ls v8, and-some! πŸ˜… every single bit of throttle pedal travel and input has instant response all the way to the floor, zero flat spots or labouring feelings, it's nuts. Im shooketh, go easy on me hahahaha or don't πŸ€™πŸΌπŸ˜Š Β  Β  Β
    • If the house has ever been sold before too, they have photos from that etc.
    • I used to do that, but then I got savvy. The benefits of having your phone photos geotagged outweigh the negatives. I just don't publish any photo straight off the phone/out of the gallery/off google photos, etc. If I'm going to use a photo, other than for SMSing to fam, I will always open it on the computer, copy it/otherwise edit it and save down without the original metadata, before using it. For example, posting photos of my engine bay into a thread on here, to show someone a plug or something - I will just screen-cap the section I want to use and paste that section direct from the clipboard into the post. No metadata goes along with.
    • Yes, so it won't work for places with no photos on the net. I would have said that there are no photos of the inside of my house on the net, but....then I realised that my kids' parties would have had bazzillions of photos of the living spaces, kitchen etc put on insta and other shitmedia. So... you can see how insidious it is.
