i was gonna look into booking a cinema out for this one, if people are keen on that i can look into it. Otherwise drive in sounds like a good idea. If i go with the cinema thing, i will be inviting a few different clubs to make up numbers.

ahh crap i cant take my car to the drive inns

the battery just goes flat all the time.....so unless someone wants to give me a jump start lol

otherwise have no options but jump in my mates commy.....

sorry guys should have read through the last drive in thread before posting as these questions usually come up :) too late for me to change the 1st post now.

theres a dude that go's around with a battery to help people start there cars when the movies done, also if the weathers good well prob be outside and you can jus listen to someone else's stereo. or there's that thing called a push start.

also a couple of pics like this coulda helped give it mood

gepps is about 10min north of the city, its on main north rd just before pt wakefield and main north rd collide

also we not going to know what time its on untill around the tuesday of the week so if people could assist and post it up if they get the details before me that would be sweet. if someone wants to attempt contacting them for faster details feel free but i found it a waste of time from my experience

chairs fold up and fit into boots krishy, they can also be folded to hit people incase of emergencys ;)

im a bit concered about how crowded it will be even by the 2nd week well have to see how it go's i guess trying to fit people together.

also they have bumped up their price to $20 per car, traditionally they have let us in cheaper if there is just 1 loner in the car :P but bring a bit extra just incase.

also bring sniky snacks and social skills and we in for some fun :P

also did you notice i say also a lot stupid crapy vocab :)

Nar my battery is a bit average, it will go flat in 3-4 days if its not started lol.

I have a sub in my boot, so who is small enough to fit inside of a boot of an R32 with a sub box? lol then 5 people inside the car. and one hanging on underneath :)

not very far from city mate, not a big deal for a 2F2F show with mates , and the drive in wont be around forever so enjoy it while you can ?????

cinema is fine but last time my car was at the mall for more then a few min it got molested by someone.

You can park next to the posts that have little speakers, hang them inside the window, no battery required. I have currently have FM or AM in my car, so im stuck with drive in speakers.

im hoping for some hot weather so we can drop the windows for all to hear maybe bring some chairs. see how it go's though

      And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil

      Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.

      Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
