Walked past Apple Bar last Saturday night at about 1am and the line-up outside was huge! About 30 people... people everywhere in the alleyway, too. I spoke to a few people in the line and they said it was pretty amazing inside, but it's best to get in early to avoid the lineups.

I'm still waiting to check it out!

As I said to Weezy the other week, we'll def have to do a SAU town thing one night soon :(

Very keen

M-audio 2496. Its a nice price for the sound. Its alittle cheaper as It doesnt have as many Midi inputs etc. Perfect for what Im doing tho.

Gonna really test it out and make a tech house song next. back to my roots

Craig you should be able to run Pro Tools M Powered edition on that card too :(

I used one of those years ago running Logic 5.5 (PC) and they're pretty damn good for the $$$

Yep will work

Its great with the Delta drivers too.

Was looking at some RME cards the other day. My mate got one and said they are awesome. Very expensive tho

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

cheap!

I must admit I looked at the RME Fireface800 before I bought the 003R and they're fantastic units. The deal breaker being no PT compatibility.

I'm pretty sure that ebay item you linked to requires ADAT lightpipe I/O's making it seriously expensive unless you could get your hands on a cheap shit Behringer ADA8000

Wow those 400's look fantastic in blue! Much better than the red I say. I know the blue edition is classed as a 'limited' edition, but I thought they've been out for about 2 years now?

yee i dunno..djwarehouse have only had em for a few months now so not sure..

was looking on youtube and all the videos that have the blue editions 400s have only been uploaded a month or 2 ago so not sure??

^that looks like a very cool event - whole venue being taken over by dub & broken beats, fantastic!

have you been given a warmup set Craig, or early morning after the headliner?

I'm jetting out a few days before FMF to Melbourne to see Prodigy in their side-show.

Should be INSANE. I've waited literally years to see them at a side-show... Can't wait. I saw Tiesto the other week at the same place where they'll be playing, and the venue is awesome!

But I jet back for FMF in Adelaide and I'll be sure to be at the front of the stage for Above and Beyond! Yessssss and I want to see Sven Vath before he's dead lol

and I want to see Sven Vath before he's dead lol

hahaha

he's quality to watch, at the 08 fmf he was shaking the marquee above his head backwards and forwards until it almost tipped over into the crowd lol!

and he slugged back around 2 big bottles of moet during his set, straight out the bottle...

gun of a DJ though, and one of the only big names who still plays 100% vinyl and acetates

i'm not going to watch prodigy this time round. seen them play live 3 times already... still quality but! The side show will be gold...

A&B 3hr set hey. If Booka Shade dont impress, i'll head to their stage for the last hour!

^ i actually dont mind him, he was making some ACTUAL good electro and tech house 5 years ago

but i havent kept up with his stuff at all either, and dont know what he plays these days.

have a few of his tracks here and there on mix cd's i've bought over the years

    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
    • When I said "wiring diagram", I meant the car's wiring diagram. You need to understand how and when 12V appears on certain wires/terminals, when 0V is allowed to appear on certain wires/terminals (which is the difference between supply side switching, and earth side switching), for the way that the car is supposed to work without the immobiliser. Then you start looking for those voltages in the appropriate places at the appropriate times (ie, relay terminals, ECU terminals, fuel pump terminals, at different ignition switch positions, and at times such as "immediately after switching to ON" and "say, 5-10s after switching to ON". You will find that you are not getting what you need when and where you need it, and because you understand what you need and when, from working through the wiring diagram, you can then likely work out why you're not getting it. And that will lead you to the mess that has been made of the associated wires around the immobiliser. But seriously, there is no way that we will be able to find or lead you to the fault from here. You will have to do it at the car, because it will be something f**ked up, and there are a near infinite number of ways for it to be f**ked up. The wiring diagram will give you wire colours and pin numbers and so you can do continuity testing and voltage/time probing and start to work out what is right and what is wrong. I can only close my eyes and imagine a rat's nest of wiring under the dash. You can actually see and touch it.
