looking for some clear roads - to clear out any cobwebs you might have, hence the 8.45am depature

my old bike riding route, although I used to leave at 7am and be home at 10am, 300odd kms and a few breaks :D

expect a lot of corners

expect a reasonable pace on some roads

more of a "test your stag" than a cruise

turn up the boost

8am I'll be there, shivering Im sure :D Old Reynella St.Francis / Foodland car park .... parked around the lake

8.45 - leaving Old Reynella

9.00-9.10am - Clarendon .... wait for latecomers for 5mins, hit up the bakery if you wish

9.25-9.30am - Meadows, driving thru

9.50am - turn off to Mt.Compass

10.10am - Mt Compass - the place to be if you cant make Old Reynella or Clarendon

hit up the bakery, and be out of Mt Compass by 10.30am.

then its off down south to a number of other areas. to many to list.

finish at midday at Victor Harbor, have a chat, lunch

1pm - casual drive back Main rd to your homes

Hey guys, it just so happens that my wife and I will be in Adelaide on that weekend.

I've been telling her for years that we should go and have a look around. Only there for the Friday, Sat, Sun and Monday.

I haven't been there since 1994!! She's never been.

So if someone want's to offer us a ride...... well I'd love to get to show her Victor Harbour and meet some of you guys, and have a beer!

I would be also very happy to print up some more Stagea Stickers, and some pennants and bring them along!

Any offers?

OK I just looked it up on Google Earth..... about 18km's from your meet point!!

anyone coming through the city... and can detour to Flinders Park... bloody hell that's an early start!!

Oh well I know what happens if you hang around too long, you never get going.

lucky I am an early riser, (so let me see that's about 4am WA time that I have to get up in the morning!!!)

My missus might take a bit of convincing! ha ha....

It'll just give us more to talk about !!

8:45am sounds a bit more civilised!!

OK, who's going to volunteer to give us lift to the meet point?

I can borrow a car, but I don't know what they'd think if I left it in a car park all day!

I guess Taxi's an option......

Hey Brendan, won't be able to make this one  Black stagea has suspected solenoid problems in the trans. And silver stagea has a buyer. Will be Stag-less for a while.

Might show up on the bike :bunny:

As some of you may know, I'm wrecking a S1, if anyone is after some parts for their cars, I can bring certain parts along to the cruise for people to inspect possibly purchase.

When I say certain parts, don't expect me to lug a trans along for the ride.

Shoot me a pm if you're interested in something inparticular and I'll let you know if I still have it.

S'OK, we are able to use our friends car for the whole run.

So we'll tag along at the back....in the Camry!!

That way we can stay at Victor Harbour if we want.

See you guys there..... anyone want more Stagea Stickers?

    • bumping this post as im still having dramas, my fuel pick up is sitting on the bottom of the tank, my pump gets a constant 13 volts through a relay, my fuel pressure holds consistently without fluttering or dropping, yet as soon as im near half a tank of fuel my car starts fuel starving and leaning out, it cant be due to g force as it never pulls hard enough before it starts breaking up, any help would be much appreciated
    • Just a thought, was that car and auto at any point of its life? If so, maybe whoever bridged the inhibitor switch/circuit did a not so good job.
    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
