Stock Nav Resolution

Does anyone definitively know the resolution of the 2003 OEM Navigation? I've tried the usual sources but can't find an accurate answer.

My semi-educated guess is 400x240 QVGA - I need to know so I can check whether I can output the native resolution through my forthcoming CarPC setup.

unsure. never tried to pop raw VGA video into the one have here. must try that when I get a sec.

I've been testing with a TV-out RCA on an old laptop. 800x480 or 640x480 stretched + interlaced seem to do the trick (as long as output is in NTSC-J). Still not as good as a separate monitor, but serviceable.

drive it with raw video and a sync combiner. you can probably get better. sync freq = 60hz. could push the envelope on it and try 70 but I have a feeling it will stat complaning.

this should do the trick to get CSYNC out of your PC.

then drive the video side of things as normal.

use a 74HC4053 to do the rest.

I know its sort of cryptic but I'm not going to disclose my tricks
