Shift Lock Problem

As above, my shift lock has a problem and is hard to get out of park. Even when i start the car its not releasing to go into drive.

Yes i have put my foot on the brake, and have tried turning the car on and off and releasing + pressing the brake.

I can hear the 'click' in the shifter when i press the break but its like the shift lock isnt releasing??

So does anyone know if the shift lock is adjustable if so how???

Also would it be a problem within the gear shifter thats not working???

Took car to mechanic today and solved problem.

It was the cable running from the shifter to the ignition which is a 2nd lockout for the car.

The series 2 Stageas have a button to override the ignition shift lock however the S1's works of the ignition so the mechanic just disconnected the cable and lockout plastic switch from the ignition and all done!!

Shifter doesn't stick anymore and the 'brake lockout' is still in place.
