it has day/night transition

should also point out that the november 2 release date is for north america. it is expected that it will be worldwide, but no confirmation yet. so we may not get it until a few weeks after that, however i think it would definately be before xmas as sony australia would be down right stupid to leave the release date until after xmas

Finally! Couldn't sleep last night knowing that the press conference was at 5am and by the time I wake up there would hopefully be a release date. The collectors edition looks nice, I'll be getting one of those...now I just need to get a ps3 and a new tv

Theres also supposed to be a closed door session with Kaz to the media about new information and new features on wednesday which should be about thursday for us. Hoping for more info about online

tow-ring? you mean the keyring? yeah i saw it.

not sure where you will be able to pre-order it. i'm guessing it will be a few weeks before even the shops know about it, at least. it's still about 6 months away so i don't think sony will be rushing too much with getting all the info out. probably leave it until they send out the statements to their customers at the end of the month.

november 2nd bitches!!!!!!!!

also the collectors edition you will get a 1:43 scale r35 gtr and some bonus cars for in the game. not sure if you have to pre-order it or not

About FKN TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game will either be the ULTIMATE driving simulator or it's going to make A LOT of people unhappy... whatever the case, I'm getting it.

I dont know about you guys but I've just pre-ordered my Collector's Edition. :P

If you did preorder, then it's probably an overseas version.

Be EXTREMELY careful when preordering from overseas. I bought my ultimate edition God of War 3 from overseas and I had no access to the exclusive content. The extra skins and playable arena required a US account (won't allow me to even use these with my AUS account) and downloading the exclusive soundtracks and videos actually required me to LIVE in the US, for some stupid reason.

ok i'm rethinking putting a pre-order in for gt5 collectors edition because of the price. it is going to be $99US. the last game to be $99US was god of war 3 ultimate, which sells here for $250, but that was exclusive to ebgames. but even just based off other prices it is going to be expensive. most games over there go for about $60 (regular gt5 is listed at $60US) and $120 here, so at $99 you can expect it to be double that, so at least $200. don't think i'm that much of a gt fan. i think i'll stick with the normal edition.

was just doing a bit of digging around (that's how i found out about the price) and found an aussie site where guys were saying that they had put pre-orders on at ebgames (in australia, not online). some had put down deposits. not sure if it was required or not. but still no official australian release date. apparently all will be revealed at the european E3 or whatever it's called in august. that is supposed to be when the full reveal of the game is, not just letting people see demo's etc. all the features of the game will be revealed... aparently.

+1

Sometimes collector's editions aren't worth the price. GT5 has always been good for the gameplay so I'll most likely just stick with the regular version.

Unless the developers do something crazy and include online access only with the collector's edition, I may consider getting that one instead.

I'm in it for the physical contents - but additional cars in-game would be a bonus.

Game Stop had the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Limited Edition but Australia didnt get it - lucky I pre-ordered it from the US! But if Australia does get the GT5 Collector's Edition I could always put a pre-order down here and cancel the Game Stop pre-order(since they dont take deposits anyway its no lost).

    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
    • More so GReddy oil relocation kits, sandwich plates, etc. all use 10AN fittings. And same, I've only used 10AN and my car sees track work (circuit, doing laps, not 10 sec squirt business).
