The battery has died in my 34GTR and I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of a place that stocks the right battery as well as does installation. As the battery is located in the boot and hidden the way i'd rather get a professional to do it for me. Any help will be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Just remove it yourself, its not that hard.

Or just remove the panel in the boot to get the battery type/number off so you can purchase another. Don't pay the shop to do it for you. Save some $$$.

:P

Pretty sure the standard batteries are a wet cell lead acid battery, small pvc tube vent runs off the top and out of the boot. JIS have D-COM gel cell batteries batteries in stock, bloody good for the price, but you may have to muck around with mounting brackets though.

I got my battery for like $100 from sprint, it does the job and has been through regency no problems.

As long as the vent tube is in place regency cant do anything about it.....i have a Calcium cell or whatever it is type battery and when i went through regency they were looking for the venting tube which was in place

So i think whichever battery you go its better to just have the vent tube in place to keep the law enforcement officers happy

can anyone recommend a battery that is roughly the same size as the standard nissan one? i bought one from battery world today and it is too big. I removed the original by taking out the strut brace and sliding it on its side. Dont really want to have to remove anything else if possible, thanks

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
