hey Andrew, yeah I was up for another hour typing but didn't come back on here cause I had to get up extra early for a job in Morphett Vale.......back home now and the reports start all over again

I should consider doing a placard for the bike, but I wouldn't know where to start nor have the tenacity or will at the moment.

Maybe Damo or Vu can help you, they have good design skills... I could mock up a text only A3 display but you'd need to send me the list of mods and all the cool stuff that makes the bike special - if I had more skills I'd put several pictures of your bike on the display next to all the mods/customized information... but tbh it'd look like arse

haha, mods would be impossible to list cause there's nothing Harley left on the bike

How about; its got a fat wheel, a tractor engine and its bery bery shiny!!

hahaha nice one Pete......i am cool with whats been discussed so far....no A3 placard for my car...hopefully get the body work sorted out by then though....looking forward to it guys

Since my car only has "Festival State" plates, Im looking for something to jazz it up a bit at the show. Ive heard something about SAU licence plates? Are these availible from somewhere? - if they exist!

Or else I would probably get this

or these

JDM plates would certainly be a nice addition to your car for the purposes of the show.

Esp the r32 ones hehe

Yeah, I am extremely limited in the Skyline apparel department as I have a GTSt. So I will take what I can get haha! Im actually considering bolting my GTSt bonnet back on for the show because... welll... see below. Your average Joe may think they are all the same (I think im the only GTS arent I?)

Thats a great idea Damo!

At this stage yes, but eh your car looks like a GTR, thats a good thing imho :D

Buy a nismo towel, get a placard made if you've done any mods to the car, would be good

OR.... I can pick some up in Tokyo next week.... Got the GTR one for my car last time ... was about 30 bux.

Let me know if u want 'em.

Martin if you could get me some JDM plates then that would be awesome mate....

Looking for some R-33 plates or something on those lines

No probs will see what I can find...

Just got off the phone from Pete and Andrew

We're going to use Andrews canopy for the show, same one that was used at Kadina. This saves everyone $20 odd (Which means I owe Aberax $20 cause he's already paid), and Pete has a few star droppers for us to mount Flags on - Shane apparently has a couple of nissan flags which we can hopefully use....

Does anyone out there have any kinda merchandise/nissan stuff they'd like to bring to bling up the display?

Please let me know as soon as you guys have paid for your entry so I can note it down in the spreadsheet.

-D

Sorry Ben, I thought Shane had the flags but apparently Cara still has them.

Will have to either grab them off her beforehand or maybe she can bring them to the Riverland on the day.

Also I think either Steve (Madaz) or Patrick (PKBlade) has a large SAU banner.

Cara does have both the flags and the sau banner, however she doesnt know when/if she'll be around for us to pick up said items. The best I could get out of her via MSN tonight was to call her the day before the event happens and then we drive to wherever that is, and pick up the items.

Brings me to the next point, I know some are staying for the sunday cruise, who will need a 2nd breakfast the next day? I got a bunch of people down for the sat morning, so if u add yr names to the sunday it'd be just as easy (and cheaper)....

Also, i'd like to know how Troy (Sapphire), Ruby and Shane are going in regards to accomodation; will u guys want a detailer and will you want sat or sun brekky and for how many people ?

Let me know folks - I hate asking the same questions over and over again.

-D

Ben,

Shane is off to Japan tomorrow, and I'm off to PI the day after. Let me sort this out on my return Tuesday next week? Got too much on my list atm. But put me in, for now, as a maybe for already having my own accommodation, a maybe/yes for the saturday brekkie.

:)

    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
    • Any idea where I can get genuine MAF apart from used ones? I can't find any only for GTRs and unfortunately that price is not in my budget 🤣 I might gap my plugs down and put my splitfires in, they were only in for a year or so before I started the rebuild
