Technically, if its plumbed back yes, its legal.

But its still loud, i wouldn't open it up past a cop, im sure they will have a say in it.

BTW, take out the fins in the end of your ssq bov. This will get rid of that homosexual squeek sound.

dude there messing with you

the flutter although it sounds great it actualy doing damage to you turbo!!!.

if you have your bov spring too loose it doeasnt vent properly so the air is forced back through your turbo (the wrong way ) to the

doooo dooo do do dod do do noise you hear is the blades of your turbo cutting through the air .

as for bov increasing power im no expert but if that were true it would be stated in the sticky about skyline power mods .

baaaaaaaaaaahahahaha, in think someone needs to learn about sarcasm.

also needs to learn about how a bov works. if the spring is too loose on a bov then it will vent properly. it just might leak a bit under acceleration. if a spring is too tight then it won't vent properly and you will get compressor surge.

there are too many posts in this thread and not enough time to facepalm them all. threads like this are why i spend most of my time in wasteland. at least discussions there are intelligent.... or contain pics of hot bishes

you could have totally just plus oned this here post...so rude

ok so i am just about to convert my stock plenum to a forward facing plazmaman...

now i guess i have to remove the stock rb25 bov as there is no place to put it now..

how would i set up a bov on a forward facing setup?

i have a turbosmart vport bov laying around i could use but i would rather use stock and it doesnt have the ghey sound...

any ideas?

not for a street car..

making 300rwkw..

Sorry its not a great photo but this is how mines setup. Lots of people say it needs to be as close to your throttle body as possible but mine works fine as it is, Little tight but still vents etc.

A friend has his on the pipe off the front of his TB with a stainless pipe across the front of the car (just behind the radiator into his intake pipe) but its a bit cheaper to do it the way mine is done

personally the stock BOV and a good pod sounds great. take the heat shield off the bonnet or get a frp bonnet, for more noise.

not a fan of flutter (wen i hear it i look around for the nearest VL with chrome on it).

ssv, greddy type-r/s etc meh.

but each to their own.

Weld it on in the driver side gaurd, before the t/b. VTA it. 300kw, im guessing tuned? Any decent tuner can tune in a vta bov.

Easiest option, i did it...but of course there is always the risk of being pulled up for it.

I cbf making up a return pipe, they look like ass, chrome or no chrome.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
