The synchro switch locks on the awd to give 50/50 front/ rear drive when you start off. At higher speeds the computer takes over again and sends most drive to the rear except when the rear starts to lose traction.

thanks for the response

then you have a problem with your alarm/immobiliser. or if you dont have aftermarket, then you might have a door switch problem

hmm. will check this out. i do have the book for my immobiliser so will have a read.

Glad to see I'm not the only freak....once swapped cars with my wife on a drive just so I could see it moving...lol....she only got it for 5 minutes though....then I had to have MY PRECIOUS back!!!!

LOL at "MY PRECIOUS".

..... I ..... understand ;)

This car jsut gets better and better. 3/4 of the way thru our 4000km road trip and im still amazed by it. with over 200kg worth of stuff thrown in the back and the two of us in the front the stagea still gets up and boogies. my old skyline if i babied it got about 350 to 400 km to a tank with the rb20 in it. the stagea is a freak pulling over 600km to a tank!! is there anything these cars cant do haha.

    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
