They have vacancies i was talking to them today, i might be able to pick you up from the airport if im finished prepping the car when you fly in. Otherwise its not far to get a cab from the airport to SCA...about $28 from memory.

Congratulations to Paul DirtGarage he ran a pb last night of 9.54 @ 126mph (with a little bit of help from some inpromptu dazmo engineering). Still should have plenty more in it yet so bring on the jamboree Good luck mate.

the trailer plug was the pivotal link to assure the car would run a number. Thanks for your assistance yesterday getting the car transported to the track.

Big thanks to Mark Jacobsen for helping get the car sorted for the meet next week.

  • 2 weeks later...
The good bit is knowing how much is left in it when itty bitty dirt man learns how to change gears. :D

Grats paul. Tuff tuff car man.

still cant change gears and still ran 9.6 at a shitty 127 MPH. the car in the other lane ran 9.6 @ 148...a good run will see a low 9 from those stats...im pissing off the c's short shitfter and putting a stocker in it as they apparantly are no good in dogboxes.

ran a new 60' PB of 1.371

see what happens tomm. eh

Yeah bring it hard tomorrow paul, The car is launching like a bullet, I can only imagine how pissed orf you are when we hear you hunting for cogs.

G/l man, We'll be there pullin for ya.

I watched a vid of the earlier 9.7 run and it torched the tyres hard (1.6 60'). The tyres were green as they were brand newies swapped from the front but now they have been scrubbed up the 1.3's are back.

did you see the 9.6? some of the guys saw sparks flying out from under the car in the deep end as i was battling the box.

Yeah I saw the run but I couldnt see what was doin in the deep. I was camo'd against the wall of the corporate box and you cant see over the hump from there. Good luck today bud.

Fixed the shifting problem...dogboxes do not like c's short shifters. Thanks to Paul Ruzic for tracking me down a stock shifter at 9.30 last night and Rajon for opening his shop at 7.30 this morning so i could pick it up...top stuff guys.

Ran a new PB of 9.45 @ 142.7 with also a new 60' PB of 1.36

in the afternoon with more boost on board ran 9.7 @ 144 but turned the tyres right through 1st gear hurting the ET.

Congrats to Mark Jacobsen on winning the class and running a new PB of 7.7 in the semi final.

Big thanks to the Godzilla team for their help with the car.

congrats looks lik i mite have to change to a stock shifter also...

the difference is incredible...gone from a notchy box that wont shift at high rpm to something that is so smooth that you can shift with confidence. Now ive got to learn to stop using the clutch to pick up a few 10ths to get it running 9 flat.

    • Hey keep the ideas coming, I'm always keen on projects! But, problem fixed!  I got a cheapie ozito scope from Bunnings and had a good look in and around the bearing and sensor hole. I couldn't see a smoking gun but the bearing looked a bit strange, especially when comparing with a new one. I thought the cover had come off the bearing magnets.  Sorry for pics of a screen, I didn't have an SD card.     Good thing I had the old one to inspect. So, given I'm like a pit crew with wheel bearings and luckily I had a spare bearing because I f**ked up my parts order, I decided to just smash it out. Got the old one out in about an hour. So much easier when the parts haven't had a chance to rust together yet. 😂 And, well, found the problem.    In the second pic at about the 8 o'clock position, you'll see what I think is the tip of the old sensor.  The new sensor has definitely been rubbing but it's all intact, just a little shiny so I'm hoping it's fine.  The car brakes perfectly now and no errors.  I think the job took about 2.5h in the end. 👍🏻 I really appreciate the help in here as usual. Thanks guys.
    • I was only looking because I saw some drops on the ground but it wasn't alot. Recently had it serviced will ask the mech to confirm. Find it strange that it looks standard though, can see in another photo of a random box
